It´s just another chance for them to prove themselves at the big stage and better they use it! And still,we hammered Porto at home,so why not getting a positive result away with some of the other players?
I'm fairly upbeat about the game too, and reckon a side consisting of Almunia, Eboue, Gallas, Djourou, Silvestre, Diaby, Denilson, Song, Ramsey, Bendtner and Vela could get a result against Porto, especially as we hold the advantage going into the game.

Very annoying that we haven't won the group already, as then it could literally be a run out for the youngsters - really should've beaten Fenerbahce at home.

Almunia is captain tonight......

By Chris Harris

Arsène Wenger will NOT hand the captain's armband to William Gallas tonight - even though Cesc Fabregas is injured.

The Spanish midfielder has led Arsenal to three wins in three games since succeeding Gallas as skipper last month but a knee problem has ruled him out of the Champions League clash with Porto.

Wenger has a number of potential deputies for Fabregas but he does not think it's appropriate to reinstate the Spaniard's predecessor.

"[Manuel] Almunia will be captain tomorrow, because you do not want every time to change your decision again," explained Wenger at his pre-match press conference.

"It would be unfair to William."

Finishing first or second isn't going to make a huge difference I don't think.

If we finish first we are likely to face one of

Inter, Sporting, Atletico, Real, Villareal or Bayern! :(

Second and could be Roma, Barca, Panathinakos, Lyon or Juventus.

Really want to miss Barca on their current form but other than that......

Wenger is apparently going to spring a major surprise and play Eboue at right back! Wow, playing him in his natural position, how novel!

The game could go anyway, their coach isn’t even pretending to care by all accounts so we are going to have a load of fringe players either trying to prove a point or simply not caring.

Last season we finished 2nd in the group and then went on to beat Milan - season before that we topped the group but then crashed out to PSV so you just don't know.....Do only need a point to top the the group so fairly satisfied that he's resting a couple with The Saturday lunchtime trip to Boro in mind.
