21 Games Remaining

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

21 Games Remaining

Post by Yankee_Gooner_Dandee »

And with those 21 games, just to break 80 points we would need to win 15 of those last 21, and would need to draw the other 6, or win 16 and draw 5 lose 1. That is JUST to put us on pace to get to 80 to have a shot at being as good as last season. Last season we finished with 83 points. I dont think there's anyway we could possibly come close to that. I'm thinking closer to 65.

65 was good enough for 5th last season. We'll see how far it gets us this one.

I agree that we MUST beat Liverpool, but I think your reasoning is a little off.

We don't need to win to keep up with our "title rivals" ( ) but, with Villa away, following the 'pool game, we need to get back into the top 4! :?

Villa are a threat to our top 4 position!

and as the saying goes... You're NEVER too good to go down.. to.. er... fifth

YGD has actually got us playing another 28 games...
or win 22 and draw 5 lose 1.
so, we can rest Cesc for a few games and play Diaby, Denilson, Song and Eboue in midfield.

OK, YGD has edited his post to make us lot look like bigger wankers than we already are but he's still desperate that we get that "39th" game.
or win 16 and draw 5 lose 1
:barscarf:

Yeah and we were "on the road" too and player Liverpool next on "the roster". I reckon if we get the ball into their "end zone" enough and go on the offence, we'll be fine

I agree, who'd have thought a team with the likes of Song, Denilson & Bendtner would have beaten ManU$A & Spartak while also losing to the likes of Hull & Stoke.

This is going to be an extraordinary season, both on & off the pitch, one way or another.

Personally I think we'll be relegated.

Then become Champions of Europe.
