Would You Want Owen?
Seems pretty obvious that Owen is up for sale.
I know he isn't the player he was or plays in the positions that we deperately need reinforcements but......I think he would be a good signing for us.
The man gets goals when he plays and we desperately need something different. Yes, Edddie is nearly back but does anyone else think he would be a good injection of talent an know how?

Michael Owen should not be at a club like Newcastle. I've always rated him and still do. I'd love him at Arsenal but I'm hoping Eduardo eventually gets back to how he was before his injury. If that happens then we've got the class finisher already.
Also even if we did get Owen, he'd be a spectator for most matches. He's a finisher, not a creator and our dire midfield doesn't create enough as it is.
In short, top, top player but we desperately need other types of player right now.

Agreed, but I did mean in addition to the other players we are crying out for.

Spot on - perhaps they are worried about all the spare time our medical staff may have once Eddie and Rosicknote come back. Mind you, there's always RvP and Diaby to fall back onArsenalgal wrote:no, owen is quality but he spends too much time on the injury bench....we need players who don't break everytime the winds changes!

If he was prepared to do what Saha offered to do when he went to Everton and take a pay-as-you-play contract then yeah cos as diabolically shit as we were yesterday we still would have won comfortably if we had someone as clinical as Owen up front.
But lets be honest Owen's got a gambling habit to feed so can't see him taking a wage cut & he's on something like £100k+ up there.

NO NO NO he's an over-paid prick who thinks he's better than he is. a *word censored* of the highest order who has milked the barcodes and is a disgrace. i would rather have saviola who is a similar player.gus ceasar is a legend wrote:Seems pretty obvious that Owen is up for sale.
