Scott Parker in Jan window ??

Scott Parker in Jan window ??

Post by Gooner Jim »

He has played excellently in dm for west ham. He is the experienced, defensive, dissiplined type of player I think we could really benifit from in January AND he wont cost that much as west ham are probably despirate to sell.

Ok, he's good enough to get into our current first team, but that's still nowhere near good enough. Players like Denilson shouldn't even be in our reserve side.

I would argue he is probably about as good as Flamini to be honest who everyone agrees we miss this season

i agree he isnt in the class of viera, petit etc but unfortunately there arent too many of those guys around or available just now!!!

I'm undecided on this one. I don't generally rate him that highly but you cannot dispute his work ethic. He does give it 100%. Is he good enough? Don't think so, but couldn't be worse than Song!!!!!!!!

In all honesty at the present moment in time Id take him. I've been watching west ham a fair bit recently, for some reason they have been on tv a lot and he has done a good job there + we are pretty desperate.

I actually think he is one of the most underated players in the prem at the moment and if denilson or song is "good" enough to play defensive midfield for arsenal then scott parker definitly is. I think he would be an ideal signing. Arsene if your reading, thank me in may

Only slagging mate - he was mentioned on another thread.

Personally, I rate his work ethic but he is a tad injury prone and I reckon we have that pretty much covered with the current cripples - oops, sorry - squad...

Im not gearing myself up for any signings in this window, arsene has made it clear that its either the credit crunch or the i beleive in this current team that will stop him signing anyone

I would take Parker but not as THE defensive midfielder, only as a second midfield signing to add extra squad depth, if we had already bought a top quality player for that position.
