Usmanov takeover

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

It's the wrong question !

How about :-

'Do we want the current situation - such as it is - to continue ?'

Melksham Gooner's post about how the current Board regard the rest as Serfs just about sums it up. Where is the 'Class' or the 'Englishness' in any of that ?

Trouble is all the alternatives at the moment are unpalatable.

Face it - this is a thoroughly miserable Christmas and a worse New Year, Arsenal wise.

I don't agree mate. Would you say the same if Gary Glitter bought 10% :?:

Being a shareholder doesn't entitle him to any respect from the fans. His stock only has the value it does because we go to watch the team. If the fans walk away his stock is worth fuck all.

spud im not a supporter of either usmanov or the current custodians of OUR CLUB,
my point was if red action are allowed diss the major shareholder of the club with the backing of the current club then that is just wrong and will set them back again to be seeing as the mouthpeice of the chairman and his fellow cronies :banghead:

Now you've explained your point I see what you mean.

But I don't think anyone should be given respect just because they are a shareholder. i'm sure you know what I mean.

I don't understand why this would make REDaction be seen as the mouthpiece of the club. The majority of Arsenal fans I know are dead set against a takeover, from Usmanov, Kroenke or any Sheikh who gets bored. REDaction would simply be expressing the views of the fans.

Is there something I'm missing here? I don't know much about REDaction, but I've sat next to the REDsection on many occasions, and they seem to just want to improve the atmosphere at the stadium.

Melksham,

The reason RedAction are seen as the clubs plaything with regards to this topic is that no banners or flags are allowed into the ground as we are all lovely and PC and so would wanna upset anyone!

Incrediably though, anti-Usmanov banners were draped over the hoardings in strategic parts of the ground and were not removed.

Wonder how that occured?

Digger, it makes a huge difference. It's the difference between being Arsenal and being Leeds...
