It's interesting that Gooners always say they never want to be like Chelsea but they never say they don't want to be like Man United (who have also spent hundreds of millions chasing success over the last 10 years).
Yes, I know they get their money in a different way to Chelsea but they 'buy' success, or certainly have done over the last 10 years, so what's the problem with Arsenal doing something similar and mixing seven or eight excellent buys with the cream of the youth?
As much as I, and most, hate Chelski, what we have seen over the last few years is a huge increase in their turnover (despite having crap support) because of their success.
Success breeds money and even though you may not like it, today's football is all about money and Arsene Wenger making a stand by not spending anything is like the UK saying 'We refuse to have nuclear weapons' and think that we will not be a target come armageddon!!
Why Arsene will lead us to glory this season

We've been saying about how great our kids are for 4 years and you know what we still have Bendtner,Diaby,Song and Denilson in our squad and that isn't very comforting. We won't win anything this season but if we're lucky we'll finish 4th to have one final season in the champions league before mancity take our place.
