Arsenal bloody anthem

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

What the hell; we're at the Emirates how about we pick a nice catchy Arabic song?

That'd confuse the hell out of the away fans!!

I hate the impossible dream... it's not a song you can sing in sync!! I still prefer Every Breath You Take by Police.

I think it was mentioned - Please refer back to the 1,256,789 posts on this subject. There was a shortlist and vote but don't know how this ended up - I can only guess that Greece and Turkey gave each other 12 points, Serbia and Crotia called each other "c##ts" and Ireland won.

impossible dream beat streets of london narrowly. stand by me was a sistant third. all the selections had some support, but the top two beat the rest by a street. the club are aware of the result of the vote and it's also re-produced on page 47 of The Gooner that goes on sale next weekend. I'd post the full results here, but they are not on the computer i am working on right now. maybe tmw if i remember

As I'm sat here in my BLUE SUEDE SHOES Im thinking what we need is A LITTLE LESS CONVERSATION and a little more action HOUND DOG . I think there are a few SUSPICIOUS MINDS on here and although Ive always been told DONT BE CRUEL , some of the choices about which songs to use give me FEVER . Some are good and I CAN'T HELP FALLING IN LOVE with them. I dont think its a case of NOW OR NEVER with the choice of the anthem but we do need something thats easy to sing , That wont be TOO MUCH effort and wont leave us CRYING IN THE CHAPEL . This can really be our 12th man , our GOOD LUCK CHARM, if ONE NIGHT when we are playing IN THE GHETTO and we need a goal with the WONDER OF YOU we can leave the Spuds (DEVIL IN DISGUISE) Or Cashley and HIS LATEST FLAME WAY DOWN . Anyway ARE YOU LONESOME TONIGHT then try and think of an Arsenal song that we can chant everywhere AND PARTY to and if you dont think its great then THATS ALL RIGHT as long as you show your BURNING LOVE .If you submit a song thats no good we will just RETURN TO SENDER. Well thats MY WAY anyway. Im sure a HARD HEADED WOMAN can beat it.

This is my first attempt so please LOVE ME TENDER

Excellent effort Chunky!! 8) Very well stuctured and amusing as well.

Just had a quick look on Wikipedia and there are literally hundreds of songs sung by Elvis (as opposed to written by him).

So, I expect the other pun-loving lads to come up with their own versions and I'm sure we can keep this going for a while. Well, at least until The Twelfth of Never, anyway!!

So we're not doing 'Wonder Of You' then?
