FA CUP V PLYMOUTH THREAD

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

Fair enough - it is one of the biggest games in their history. Good to see the token moron posting the "packet of sweets" crap getting shot down. 8)

Hmmph. I can't register on PASOTI.

And all I wanted to do was to replace Arsenal-Mania with the onlinegooner.

DIdnt Wenger say a few weeks back that it wouldn't be a team made entirely of kids? I think (hope) it'll be a mix of experienced players that are up for it and a few of the nippers, so avoiding a complacent performance and hopefully an upset!

Still got a horrible feeling though!

Respect. 8)
I was reading their "how to get to the Emirates" thread.....one person recommends going to Drayton Park.....is that station open on match days?? :? Another suggests walking to Angel tube, a 10 minute walk, i would have thought it would be more like 30 minutes?

wenger did say a couple of weeks back the fa cup team would be a mixture i think. With wenger saying hoyte, gibbs, simpson going out on loan they could play in this before going on loan. i think we will wim 3-0. i think wengers team will be:

fabianski
hoyte
toure
silvestre
gibbs
merida
ramsey
diaby
wilshere
vela
bendnter

subs almunia randall simpson nasri eboue sagna denilson

After seeing merida live at burnley and in the reserves v portsmouth couple of weeks back i would like to see him start this game. looks a really good player. cant see djourou or song being fit as there injuries look like to be a couple of weeks.

Djourou is unjured and I don´t expect him to be risked for this game.Song is suspended anyway.I would like to see the following team:Fabianski;Hoyte,Toure,Silvestre,Gibbs;Wilshere,Randall,Ramsey,Merida;Bendtner,Vela(Mannone;Sagna,Clichy;Eboue,Denilson,Diaby;Simpson).I know that it´s quite similar to the Carling Cup squad but I think there should be another chance for these players to prove themselves. And we are playing at home so I guess there won´t be a major problem to win. Also it´s time to give some rest to Gallas,Nasri,Adebayor and Van Persie before the really important games awaiting us in the Premier League.

Was this the game that Eduardo was gonna make his comeback, at least on the bench anyway?...correct me if I'm wrong or he's not fit enough yet

Eduardo isn´t injured anymore, but he is lacking match-fitness.He played in the first half for the reserves in the 2-0 win against Portsmouth on 16.12.But he still needs sharpness after such a long time out so I guess he will play at least one more game in the reserves.Maybe the next ones for him will be on 5.1 at West Brom and on 21.1 at Stoke so he probably could come back on 24.1 for the next round of the FA Cup.And I really don´t want him to be rushed back yet-I would prefer that he plays some games at a lower lever and then returns completely fit.

Seeing as RVP was rested (????) vs Pompey perhaps he'll make an appearance? Or is there an injury that I've missed?

He played on Friday, so he wouldn't play on Sunday.
