Stevie G arrested for acting a *word censored*

England and Liverpool footballer Steven Gerrard has been arrested following an alleged assault.

Police were called at about 0230 GMT following an incident at a pub in Southport. Six men were detained later in a nearby street.

The men, four from Huyton, one from Formby and one from Litherland, remain in police custody.

A 34-year-old man from Southport was taken to hospital with facial injuries, not thought to be life-threatening.

Club captain

The men from Huyton are aged 33, 31, 29 and 19. A 28-year-old from Formby and an 18-year-old from Litherland are also being questioned by Merseyside Police.

The incident is alleged to have taken place at the Lounge Inn, on Bold Street. The six were arrested a short time later on nearby Lord Street.

Midfielder Gerrard, 28, is Liverpool captain and scored twice in his team's 5-1 victory over Newcastle on Sunday.

Gerrard was born and grew up on Huyton's Bluebell Estate.

He started his footballing life playing for Whiston Juniors, before being spotted by a Liverpool scout at the age of eight.

Last month the Premier League star was given the freedom of his home borough of Knowsley's public swimming pool in recognition of his contribution to diving.

By all accounts tv executives are flying in from america as we speak and are keen to sign up gerrard for the next series of Prison Break

Apparently they are even willing to put sub-titles on the screen so that the viewers can understand that thick scouse language/accent

You guys don't like to wait for the full story to come out do you? They aren't going to sentence Steven Gerrard to a few years in jail, folks. Don't get ahead of yourselves. These sort of things happen outside nightclubs all the time, and the media is probably making a bigger story out of it than it is. You guys probably will too.

I hoep the press remind him of this every time he starts all that role model for kids bollocks. No doubt Sky and the tabloids will run a free Stevie G(o fuck yourself) campaign and probably blame it all on Arsenal.

I can picture it now:
'Liverpool superhero Steven Gerrard has been disgracefully arrested by police after battering a DJ in a club. The poor Liverpool and England hero was having a quiet fourteen pints with cheeky scouse pals when he became involved in a fight. Our sources claim he was using his anger as a way of dealing with the horrific images caused by Adebayor's disgusting assualt on a brave Liverpool warrior last weekend.'

Hope the Sun get an exclusive on it just to really piss him and his criminal mates right off.

Liverpool and England midfielder Steven Gerrard has been released by Police after another man claimed he assaulted an unnamed man outside a nightclub in Southport. According to 800 witnesses, all from the Merseyside area, Gerrard was miles away in Bulgaria at the time of the alleged assault...
