As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.
I'm not a big fan of Rooney, i think he's a bit over rated don't get me wrong he has had some fantastic prefomances for Utd but when it comes to England he aint the same player. I'm not sure why he continues to be first choice striker.
I'm going England v Germany next wednesday and i am glad he wont be playing.
Now about his foot injury it seems to me that his bones in his feet keep breaking, i read somewhere that he had problems when he was younger which makes me think that his £30m Utd paid for him was a bit of a gamble.
Also i think that his injurys might have something to do with the fack he done kickboxing when he was younger
Does anyone think he will become great for Utd or even England and is there anyone on hear who likes him?
fu*k rooney.. if they wore stronger boots they wouldnt keep breakin there toes,, greedy fu*kers lookin for more money 2 wear thin strips on there feet,, no one ever broke there toe before these boots came out
2. He dives. (Remember the one for the pen at Old Trafford which ended the 49 game unbeaten run?)
3. He gets petulant whenever Man Utd aren't winning and starts to try to maim opponents. (OK you could apply this one to Neville, Scholes and several others too.)
4. If a ref gives a decision against him he screams obscenities in the ref's face. Strangely this never merits a booking when all certain Arsenal players have to do to get a card is look at someone the wrong way. I think people did break their toes before but it was far less publicised, the papers would just say injury or foot injury rather than say whether anything was broken. The guy stood on his foot and his stud happened to break something, if you had a boot that protected you against that you couldn't play football in it, too heavy.
are you a greedy fucker lookin for more money to wear thin strips on your feet? Fuck off! Protect your feet; wear rebel gooner's patented kevlar football boots. but don't take our word for it, just ask this gay: "my feet are so safe that i no longer need to fall over every 5 minutes" - Ronaldo.
don't be a crunt like rooney, buy rebel gooner's kevlar boots

not steel toes, some sort of non ferrous material, using steel would allow clubs to cheat by arranging magnets below the pitch to control movements of players.
on second thoughts it would stop timewasting with substitutes going off slowly, just switch on the electromagnet by the technical area!

In fairness, I think it might have to do with the fact a he's a fat *word censored* and his weight is gradually weakening the bones by the continuous pounding when he runs. I seem to remember several specialists in this area of physiotherapy etc issuing warnings when Man Utd signed him. Whilst they were not in connection with his foot specifically weakening, they said that if he did not tone up and lose weight he would be highly likely to have problem with his joints later in his 20's

I've always maintained this to my mates!!!
His sheer size which meant he was able to compete physically with much older players at such an early age can only lead to a premature end to his career, as he struggles with weight and associated injuries!
Like everything else it's pros and cons and there's no doubt that Taggart and his medical team were aware of this too and knew that if they were goin to sign him!, the younger the better!
AS for the above it is spot on and it is why he has suffered so badly on European, World level at the hands of foreign refs who refuse to take the shit he has been used to getting away with in the Prem
