As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

Is this the same Brian Woolnough that was chief sports writer for many years at The Sun?
The only reason he left The Sun was because he was offered lots more money by the new proprietor at The Daily Star - who was trying to increase the almost non-existent readership. Harry Harris (who used to be a Spud fan but switched to Chelsea a few years ago) was tempted away from the Mirror for the same reasons. The impact they have had on sales of the Daily Star has been negligible at best. That's because most people don't buy the Star for news and information - just for the pictures!!
The One2Smooth,
First of all I read the Times. Secondly, in truth The Daily Star is as close to being considered a proper newspaper as The Daily Sport is!! It's all about tits and boobs - and that's just the sports writers and their reports!!
By the way, Woolnough is definately a Spud (or was as a boy), while Danny Fulbrooke is actually a West Ham fan.
P.S.
Further to my previous post, here is another example of an oxymoron - The Daily Star readership!!
The fact that people think that Woolnough is variously a Spud, Chav Spammer and Gooner (don't know where they got that one from?) proves that he has done well to mask his allegencies.
However, I definately heard him say a few years ago that he supported Spurs as a kid and that Glenn Hoodle was his boyhood hero!!
