The Wrestler
I saw the new film starring Mickey Rourke, called "The Wrestler"
Anyone else seen it?
Really recommend it...a serious character portrait.
Compelling, well acted, well scripted and well directed.

make some copies and go around the pubs and sell them quartzQuartzGooner wrote:Pi and especially Requiem were very good films. Not seen The Fountain yet but have it on DVD to watch.
For the record, I saw The Wrestler on a legit preview copy belonging to the promo company that a mate works with, not a dodgy Chinese DVD!

Yeah, I enjoyed Pi, and Requiem was a very powerful movie!QuartzGooner wrote:Pi and especially Requiem were very good films. Not seen The Fountain yet but have it on DVD to watch.
That said, I absolutely loved The Fountain, and thought it was the best of his movies to date.
Radio Times' review...
The Fountain is one of the most original and extraordinary films of recent times.... those who stick with the movie will be rewarded with a profoundly rich experience about the meaning of life, death, love and immortality. The performances and music brilliantly complement Aronofsky's philosophical musings in one of the most haunting, perplexing and visually stunning films since Stanley Kubrick's 2001: a Space Odyssey
5/5
