BOLD PREDICTION

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

Stop these stupid predictions
We're still on for the treble :barscarf:

Eboue for Balon D'Or

Spurs to stay in the premiership

Rosicky to return for the cardiff game

Gallas to write a book: "My love for Arsenal"

I woke up this morning and chewed a lead pipe :whee:

The Premiership is a marathon not a sprint and I feel that there is a huge chance that Aston Villa have peaked too early. Arsenal on the other hand have yet to hit top form and are due a bit of luck, something Aston Villa have had in bundles recently.

Villa have had lady luck smiling down on them, especially in games against Everton, Hull City, West Ham and West Brom. Surely this luck cannot last forever? Arsenal are due some luck and if we get half as much as Villa then we will be very lucky indeed. Although I will say we were lucky at Villa Park to come away with a draw!

People forget that we are halfway through the season and whilst Aston Villa have been playing out of their skins, Arsenal have struggled and yet we are only three points adrift. That to me says a lot and if Arsenal had made a better start to the campaign then we wouldn't even be worried about Villa

I will be staggered if we go until May before our next league defeat mate.

Can't see us finishing as high as 2nd, though Pool do look pretty fragile. But the chances of Chelsea being dragged into a contest with Villa and us now look good - not just cos they lost to the mancs, they also had no drive or energy. Big phil is right, now he'll find out more about his squad, and whether they have the character to recover. Perhaps they'll pick up again but the point is we and Villa could now catch them.

Yes and cesc will be out until april and how long will it take then to get him match fit ?
Rosicky is another of our creative players but will we ever see him again ? Ever ??
Walcott is out but can you really class him as one of our creative players ? Isnt he dependent on having a creative player alongside him to give him the opportunities rather than create them himself ?
Eduardo being a striker is also dependent on others creating the chances for him.

Anyway maybe you should also look at the other end where we have being shipping far too many goals. We dont have a quality keeper, dont have a dominating centre back and are being bullied in the centre of the park and when you add all that up and see the names of song, diaby, bedtner and eboue in the team list then you know we are seriously short in quality

We will be 5th, unless we buy a defensive midfielder.

I could actually see a..

1. Man U
2. Liverpool
3. Arsenal
4. Villa
5. Chelsea

for reasons thus.

Man u are going to win the title. End of.

Liverpool are getting enough results but will still lose out.

The best we can hope for is 3rd. With a bit of luck and (fingers crossed) one or two signings this is acheivable. 4 points off of chelsea is nouthing.

Villa will continue to play well and rack up results, however the will fail against the "big four".

Chelsea. I think there is a good good chance they will fail enormously. Their next games are important, if they continue to play like they have been recently then thay should be just as worried about villa as we are.
