Rooney...untouchable?

Post by SPUDMASHER »

I was watching the Mancs v Chavs game last night and just before halftime the disallowed goal incident occured. For those that don't know, Mancs took a quick short corner and ladyboy scored from it. The ref disallowed the goal as he hadn't given the go ahead to take the corner. Rooney ran 30 yards over to the ref and let fly with a volley of foul mouthed abuse. His face was one of rage and trust me, he didn't hold back verbally. The ref just waved him away.
My question is:- How did the little crunt get away with it? No booking, nothing! He didn't even get spoken to or told to cool it!
I've seen this several times with him and he never seems to get punished for it. If it were one of ours the refs card would be out in lightning time.

Why is shrek allowed to abuse refs? So much for thr 'respect' campaign

The truth of it is, if the rules applied to Man Utd players then Rooney would be sent off every game, every time i watch them he either just goes around booting people up in the air or swinging his arms and legs at people, or running after the ref abusing him! nothing is ever done, its a complete joke!

They are basically allowed to do what they want, there isnt really much point having a premiership league anymore if one team are allowed to just do what they like!

Spuddy he got away with something similar in the first half too. Maybe it is easy for me to make this assumption but there is a train of thought, and I am 100% in agreement with it, that the english players are given preferential treatment by the refs and fa  I am damed sure if johnny foreigner had behaved like that yesterday then he would have at least got a yellow card and it again makes a total mockery of the respect campaign. I do agree that benitez made a *word censored* of himself the other day but there was more than a grain of truth in what he said in that ferguscum and the manure players do get special treatment and it is unacceptable :x

I thought it was disallowed because the linesman thought Giggs took the corner from the wrong place and took two touches (even though Shrek had already "taken" the corner)

However, tearing into the ref like that is a straight red card. We've seen Arsenal players sent off for it, players get booked for kicking the ball away - surely squaring up to a lino and screaming "CUUUUNNNNTTT!!" in his face warrants stronger action?

Did Carvalho elbow someone in the face yesterday? Don't remember the media picking up on it - surely thats a retrospective red?

Wasn’t Mascherano’s sending off against Utd last season for the same thing that Rooney did twice yesterday without getting booked for either?

If anything the first incident that augie mentions was even worse than the second. After fouling Bosingwa (which could have been a yellow in itself), he goes off on one at Plebb :awnker: screaming at him. Then he walks away & refuses to come back when Plebb :awnker: blows his whistle to talk to him, even throwing his arm up as if to say “fuck youâ€

The problem is that the refs have let Rooney get away with it since he started, they will probably come out with 'well thats just his personality' and 'we know what we are going to get from Rooney'.

As Benitez implied Man U players and staff do get different treatment from officials than all other clubs, you me and half the footballing world could come up with a list of things our clubs get done for but Man U seem to get away scott free with.

Take Rooney yesterday swearing at the ref and linesman during the game didnt Petit get sent off for swearing at a linesman in French from the centre circle.

The problem comes from the FA/PL who see Man U as their cashcow and so do not want to upset the applecart they will every now and then do something so they can say 'look we have banned/fined/punished them' but they are just paying lipservice to the man u board/manager and players

its because like a few years back Shearer booted a Leicester player in the head while he was on the floor.
When the word went out that he was going to be banned and fined by the FA, he said that if it happened, hed think about NOT playing for England.
Thats why Rooney gets away with it.
The FA have no balls

He gets away with it because he plays for manure and Engerland. When certain TV channels show rooney on the pitch they have to pixelate his mouth because of the abuse coming out of it, mostly aimed at refs and linesmen.

The goal should have stood though IMHO. It was creative and inventive (bit like THBW14 taking the "quick" free kick against Leeds and Villa(?).) Why stifle creativity??

Ref disallowed it because he thought Shrek hadn't taken it and Giggs had then taken 2 touches. It was questionable too if the ball was static at all - looked a bit like shrek rolled it in then rolled it out again...

Refering back to the thread title, my mate's (usually well spoken) missus saw rooney on the telly the other day and said;

"Christ - I wouldn't shit on Rooney if he paid me."

Nearly lost a lung and two ribs with the laughing.

The most ridiclous part was when Rooney synically fouled cole in the second half and Webb booked him in such an apologetic manner it was embarrasing.

Like the earlier post said he must have threarened not to play for England if the ref's red him. Let's face it, the scousers don't give a fuck about England & old rednose certainly don't.

Rafa should get the stat's out about how many times he's pulled Rooney out of England squads compared to Darren Fletcher. (I even remember Fletcher playing for scotland injured.)

My major worry is that if the EPL refs continue to let him get away with it, he will just get sent off in a big world cup game again. The majority gave Rooney the benefit of the doubt when he stamped on Carvalho in the last world cup & we all jumped on the Ronaldo's a c*%t bandwagon (he is!). However the last couple of years and this seasons antics against the Danish lot and the big Stoke fella just prove that he's a dirty stamping bastard and should be villified for getting us knocked out.

He fucking meant that stamp on Carvalho. No doubt about it.

He get's special treatment, they all do, Benitez called it right last week.

United are like the Royal Family of the Premiership (not the one that sit in front of the TV, the one with the Korgis)

Im glad someone else picked up on this as in my opinion it was far worse than the disallowed goal.

He had a right swipe at Bosingwa (which could have been a yellow itself), then swore at the ref after a foul was given. Webb blew his whistle repeatedly & Rooney walked away. On finally turning round he swore at Webb again & again. Webb had ample opportunity to book Rooney but failed to do so. He really is untouchable
