Usual thread starter… Well I like the sound of this. Mourinho out by Xmas, Liverpool dropping points on the road. Not sure where Man U are supposed to fail, but what the hell. Just to be in the title race would make a nice change, eh?

Totally agree. And do you know? I get really annoyed when people say 'Arsenal are soft' or 'they don't like it up 'em.' The last three games have proved that we can cope with it 'up us'. And our 'kids' are not actually that young - Gallas, Toure, Gilberto, Sagna, Rosicky and Hleb are hardly babes in arms. We do have a good combination of steel and maturity and the young players are fantastic. Being young is excellent - it means they don't get knackered like the Mancs. So I agree with this article - and we will be up there in March and April and maybe May. We will prove we can play pretty football, we can cope with northern thuggery (btw. how comes it's acceptable for players to announce pre- match that they are going to kick Arsenal? When did thuggery enter the rules of footie?), and we have the skill and goal scoring prowess to beat anyone. Just going out and spending millions does not mean you're going to win anything. Wenger has added enough to the existing squad to create a team of winners!

dont know,, lets giv it a few weeks before we get carried away.. i hope we can do it but lettin my head rule my heart on this and still think we are a bit lite in some areas

I obviously want to say of course we can win the league but like Rebel my heart says one thing and my young but wise head is saying otherwise, it's to early to tell at the moment but i think we will know if we can win after 10 or 11 games, our 10th and 11 games are Liverpool away and Man Utd at home so that week i think we will know all.
I'm confident we can win the league but if we got some bad injury's that would all change, so far i'm satisfied with our to games ok in both games we were rubbish in both the 1st half but in the 2nd half of both games we looked a lot better
In two games we have scored more than Utd and conceded less than Chelsea also we are above Utd with a game in hand so, so far so good

Why I think this is Arsenal`s performence against Sparta.Fabragas right through on goal I expected him to pass what happened he shot and scored.Later Hleb through on goal I expected him to wait for the defence to catch him up beat three of them then pass back to a mid-fielder blow me down what did he do he shot and scored.Added to this that looney Repka threatened to send the Arsenal boys back to England minus arms and legs,what happened Cesc sorted him out.The whole team look up for a fight so perhaps losing Henry is a blessing in disguise.One other thing Clichy is as good as Cole and will by next season be better.

I think he was putting alot of pressure on some of them!
And if one more cometator turns round and says "we will soon find out if Arsenal can cope in the post Henry era" i swear i'll go fecking mad he hasn't played for us since march

We have only beaten Fulham in injury time.Saying we will win the league is pushing it a bit.I would be happy with 3rd place and a good run in the CL.We dont know how we would cope with a string of injuries to key players.And i dont want us to have to rely on players such as Senderos and Song

You knock the media, but you're coming out with quite a lot of media bollocks yourself. Tevez a great player ... yeah, said who exactly. Said the media. He's never been great, never will be great, can't even get in the Argentina side. If you're after some great talent, think Messi, not some workman-like dwarf. The only great thing about him is the hype and the fee's talked about. Mark my words, there will be no greatness from him. "They" said Veron was the best player in the world, until "they" started watching him, and decided he was a waste of space instead.

I agree we'll win the league though, not because it's just our turn to prove people wrong like you say, but because we have the best players. The team with the best players will win, period.

Id love to believe it but i just dont think so. We might have as good a team as anyone but i just dont think we have the squad to last the pace

yes mate, dont think well win the league (tho i reckon theres a better chance than most give us credit) but top 2 an/ ora good run in europe and the FA cup, i really think we could surprise alot of people this year, just hope that eboue and rosiscky are gonna give us the width we are so desperately crying out for, there no expectations yet at the carling cup final last season there was some serious hype about uskilling it this year, how quickly people forget!

with dreaming, especially when you consider that this team of young-in´s
are without a doubt going to move up a gear any day now. Yes we as fans may feel the team is a bit thin at time but that can be irrelevant when determination,maturity,ability and the most god given Fecking brillant manager of our time is in control.

The media hase been saying for 2/3 years that this team needs to mature, well now is the time that most of those sub intelligent press drones can eat their words.

For me this season is Good run in C/L. 2nd in league.. Next season and several after 1st..

I expect us to be within the title chasing pack when March comes around, not sure we can win it but we will give it a go and you never know, Arsene after all has pulled off greater things before.
