Where is the best place to drink before Everton game?

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

A few people have said Arkles while others have said don't bother near the ground as all the pubs are shitholes and to head straight for the city centre. What do you lot reckon?

around the ground the elm or the winslow opposite the ground always welcome away fans as long as there is no trouble
