Deadline day Arshavin saga

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

Arshavin is in Hertfordshire, waiting for the clubs to agree a fee.

THE DEAL IS OFF

He's being driven to the airport now because we're not willing to pay him what he wants...

Sky Sports are now saying he is being driven to an airport as the deal has fallen through.

They are saying Arsenal just cannot afford the deal and it has all but collapsed now.

Apparently Arshavin is completely fucked off with the way he has been treated!

Joke aint we!

he is not going to sign, he is now on the way back to russia...

why does the club go for a player who they know is too expensive???

why waste the time on him instead of signing players that we can afford.

SO MUCH SHIT AND IT LOOKS LIKE WE WONT GET HIM.

To be honest with you, if we've got a wage cap, then we have a wage cap and I'm fine with that. However, for it to be left this late is a fucking joke. Who on earth are we going to sign now?

FYI - Just changed the name of this topic so that it can be the only Arshavin thread today. I won't delete any that are started, but I will lock them.
