Deadline day Arshavin saga

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

Its not our fee. They want money from the player. Nothing to do with us.

Release a statement when a deal is concluded, this ongoing rubbish is Zenit's doing.

If you want a continual circus, go to that mob down the road
Why go down the road to find a circus when we have one of our own?
Cant win with you lot. Even when other clubs are ballsing up our deals its still our fault

We had 33 fcuking days to sort this deal out nice guy - how long do those *word censored* need to sort a deal out ? If they couldnt sort out a deal before now then they should have pulled the plug and move their attentions elsewhere

On the contrary, they have just said that they are still checking whether all the right signatures were in place before 5pm. What a joke
Ken Friar is experienced, am sure the paperwork would be fine.
I did read that Arsenal have to let the financial sector know of deals before they announce it in public.

Maybe that explains some of the delay, or maybe it is to do with this payment to an agent?
I think they are more worried about whether the right Zenit signatures are on the page

BBC Website:

1812: I wonder where Andrei Arshavin is? Maybe having a sip of vodka in north London with his Euro 2008 partner-in-crime Roman Pavlyuchenko? The wait must be as agonising for him as it is for us. Something may well be announced quite soon though, we're hearing. Go on Arsenal.

Good job the deal was 90% completed last week. The last 10% seems to only involve trivialities such as the fee, personal terms and a medical.

90% of the deal is if he gets on with Eboue

How frustrating, Spuds get their man, we're still fannying around. We have to sit and listen to Harry Redcrap going on about how wonderful Robbie Keane is and those of us who pay AFC money know nothing, a disgrace!
