Usual thread starterâ€¦ A nice tribute, but Freddie did blot his copybook a little with some of his early words at West Ham about Arsenalâ€™s lack of ambition. Iâ€™m sure both Freddie and Henry were both loathe to go, but each went for their own reasons, and the wage bill is a hell of a lot lighter now.

I'd say that was a very milld blotting of his copybook Ed - he was hardly going to say 'I've lost two yards of pace and Dennis is no longer there to feed in those classic through balls for my diagonal runs' was he?

Classic goal in the final - and even more classic post match comments. But scoring against Manure on his debut - kicking in a dressing room door at WHL - great goal at Anfield - setting up our winner at Old Trollop.

Yes he was great in his time and the fans loved him but why he attacked the club when he left I don`t know.However when he returns to the Emirates with West Ham (if he is not injured) I hope he gets a great ovation.

Just a shame he didn't have the class to keep his yap shut when he was shown the door. Questioning ambition was a very low move...

True but he could have avoided saying anything bad about us.

Very good player, scored goals and left us with many happy memories, always gave his all but think he could have left with a lot more dignity then he did. I wish him luck with the rest of his career

I used to love Ljungberg until he shouted his mouth off when he left. We didn't shout our mouths off when he spent the last two years being injured and very inconistent for 100k a week. You would have thought he would have payed us fans a bit of respect rather than being so bitter. Van Persie was right when he came out and said that the man should grow up and should get some dignity.

freddie was arsenal fru and fru, he never let arsenal down, very hard to remember a mistake from freddie that cost us and he scored far more important goals in big games than other summer departees

Freddie is a legend but he has not being at his best for a couple of years now so all i can say is good luck to him

I am sure that little outburst from Freddie was just a little sour grapes and it is there to see that Freddie wants to be a Gooner again. Overall he is a former fans favorite and an Arsenal legend.

Freddie will always be a legend.I have already forgotten what he said when he left but i will never forget how he dragged us over the finishing line in 2002 and leaving John Terry on his arse in the cup final.
