Joe Calzaghe Retires from Boxing.

It's all a load of Cannonballs in here! This is the virtual Arsenal pub where you can chat about anything except football. Be warned though, like any pub, the content may not always be suitable for everyone.

Fought most of the best that he coudl at the time.

Fought Lacey and Kessler who were two serious dangermen, and fought Eubank who was still dangerous...and fought a peak Robin Reid who was no mug.

Jones Jr was too heavy for him for a lot fo Calzaghe's career, and Hopkins was down at middleweight for a lot of his career too.

Who did Calzaghe duck exactly?

Only possible names I can think of are not fighting Dawson now, who is the next best in division, or letting Froch move up to light-heavy, but if Joe wants to retire, good luck to him.

As he says, there will ALWAYS be someone in line to fight, but you have to retire at the right time, or risk ending up like Holyfield.
