WHO IS YOUR FAVOURITE ALL TIME PLAYER EVER ?

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

Yeah it was a good laugh. I think his name was Stephen North in the one I saw in Oxford. I was at Oxford Brookes Uni at the time.

Thanks for the welcome back. I'm off to bed now way past my bedtime considering the long day yesterday.

This is an easy one for me.......

Step forward Mr. Bergkamp........

I honoured him by having his portrait tattooed on my forearm. He joined the Arse, when we seemed to be heading no-where fast. Stuck with us for 11 glorious years. Not once did you see him falling out of a club at 3am, there were no "I slept with dennis" stories, no marriage problems. He was never outspoken about the club. All in all, he was the perfect professional and gentleman. Not forgetting the fact that he was a fucking Genius with his feet. An absolute role model for up-and-comers everywhere!!!

Imagine for one moment that Dennis missed the games against Leicester and Newcastle - what would we all talk about??????

The word "Legend" is thrown around far too often nowadays, but if there was ever a man who epitomised the word, it was Dennis!!!

-------------------------

From current crop of players, i Love Matthieu Flamini.

He is a no thrills player. He is not the quickest, or the most skillful player to ever wear an Arsenal shirt. But he always gives 110% whenever he is on the pitch, which is more than can be said for some of the "superstars". Not to mention the fact he is without question of a doubt, one of the greatest left backs in footballing history!!!!!!

Regards

Craig

Tough question.
Growing up my hero was Alan Smith. Absolutly class, will never forget his goal in the cwc final. Unfortunatly, the more I see him on TV these days, for more I forget how great he was. I can't stand him commentating. I get similar feelings for Ian Wright, can't stand him on TV. Would love for them both to retire so I can have nice memories.

Not sure who I would class as my all time favourite, but I suppose a shortlist would include Alan, Patrick Vieira, Dennis Bergkamp, Tony Adams, Glen Helder, Thierry Henry and Dave Seaman.

Favourite Player has to be Paul Merson or Ray Parlour. Both English and although Ray did not have Magic's class he was a hero and very under rated.

FA Cup final against Newcastle he was outstanding.

Pitty his wife has nicked all his money
