i was just told by my dad he read in todays standard that weve been announcing our attendences by the amount of tickets sold and not by the amount in the stadium. and apparently for the bolton fa cup game that the attendence anounced was 1400 more than that in the stadium.
he said that apparently lots of the sponsors who have bought season tickets arent turning up to the games
Anyone read the article? Know a bit more?

attendance at ashburton
Yes, I saw it too - but in the Guardian, not the Standard (which I read too). Confirmed what we all guessed and was really obvious v Wigan; that attendances announced are based on tickets sold. The figure quoted was -1800 and surprise, surprise, it does reflect the increased corporate involvement.
The good news is that Arsenal are to trial a 'buy-back' system to allow purchase of unwanted seats. Hoo-bloody-rah - a bit of common sense at last. This will be run in-house rather than agency, another good move (I think...), and it should lead to genuine full houses as Arsenal is the team everyone wants to watch (including Shearer and Hansen!).
