Luck ?

Post by Herd »

Bit harsh but yes we got no luck at all last term .

Saturday City were much improved and we changed shape twice once just before kick off and once after.

It isnt luck City failed to notice Flamini could hardly walk for the last 20 mins and citeh's chances werent clear cut

Cesc's goal was ace and Alumnium could have scored if he had punted straight down the pitch after the dane came forward, fair play citeh again they gave us the ball back only for song to give it back to them

Can do better but they came through a very difficult match and did enough.

Im a happy bunny right now !

DON'T WANT TO APPEAR NEGATIVE (NO, REALLY I DON'T! ) BUT A MYTH IS DEVELOPING THAT WE ARE GETTING RESULTS THIS YEAR THAT WE DIDN'T LAST SEASON.

THE FACT IS WE BEAT BOTH FULHAM AND MAN CITY AT HOME LAST SEASON AND EVEN BEAT BLACKBURN AT EWOOD PARK. SO IN REALITY, WE ARE TWO POINTS WORSE OFF AGAINST THE SAME TEAMS THAN WE WERE LAST YEAR!!

AS THE SAYING GOES: STATISTICS CAN BE USED TO PROVE JUST ABOUT ANYTHING YOU WANT THEM TO, IF CHOSEN SELECTIVELY.

YOU SEE? THAT'S EXACTLY MY POINT IN THE POST ABOVE. YOU CAN TWIST THE STATISTICS TO REPRESENT ALMOST ANYTHING YOU WANT, BUT IT'S NOT NECESSARILY THE TRUTH YOU END UP WITH.

THE RESULTS ARSENAL OBTAINED LAST SEASON AGAINST THE SAME OPPONENTS IS A MUCH FAIRER COMPARISON THAN POINTS GAINED AFTER HOW EVER MANY GAMES PLAYED THUS FAR THIS SEASON AGAINST DIFFERENT OPPOSITION.

AS I STATED PREVIOUSLY, UNDER THAT CRITERIA, WE ARE ACTUALLY TWO POINTS DOWN - NOT FIVE POINTS UP!!
