usual thread starter… maybe I am being a bit harsh on the team and the boss, but I honestly feel the only difference between this season and last is that we are getting a bit of luck. Let’s face it, villa and boro were allowed far less chances at this time last year than Fulham and man city enjoyed. So there is even an argument that we are in worse shape as far as solidity is concerned. Then again, we had gilberto in midfield for villa and boro, which I do think makes a hell of a difference. Once wenger has everyone fit, I hope we look a more solid unit, and I’ll have a bit more belief

I would say our luck has been 50/50 in the last few games, compared to last season we have 5 more points which is a good thing, the arguement about us being a weaker team than the one last year doesn't exsist as far as i'm concerned because the players have all improved since last season, i know we don't have Henry now but i think we have proved that we can cope without him.
Players like RvP, Helb, Eboue, Rosicky and Walcott will all feel like they can make thier own choises on the field and not get the dis-heartning look of Henry staring at them if they lost the ball.
Our squad isn't even fully fit but we have managed to scrap out two wins and a draw, and a well earned win in Sparta aswell.
Yes i believe we need to add to our squad but as far as how the seasons gone so far and displays by the team and players i'm happy enough and yes i do believe we can challenge for the league untill January at least, hopefully add in January to continue our inclusion in the title challenge.

Definitely, I think we have been lucky ... worse luck could have seen us lose all 3 matches ...
But then again, Chelsea was lucky to beat birmingham and portsmouth .. manure vs spuds speaks for itself ... Even in the invicibles era, we enjoyed our fair share of luck ...
So, anyone who ends up winning the league often rides on a wave of good fortune combined with their efforts ...
Luck aside, I reckon most fans agree that we can do with strengthening the squad, and most of us are still hoping and praying that something happens before the end of the transfer window ... Nevertheless, if Le Bosss ends up not signing anyone, it would be a gamble that I believe could turn out for the good .. with the aim being to target the jan window .. But this is still living with a hope and a prayer ..
