what a wanky comment. so you were content with our attacking players being out injured and us having to play eboue as a winger constantly? wenger for once addressed a problem asap by buying a player in the january transfer window to slot straight into the team. imagine if we hadnt have bought arshavin, wed have had to make do another few months with a midfield of eboue song and denilson playing week in week out. at least this way one of the *word censored* are out of the squad for a bit.SteveO 35 wrote:I am in agreement with everything thats been said against this board but in fairness they commissioned a transfer fee of c. 15m during the worst recession in our history. It was Wenger who chose to spend it on a player in a position where we will have the choice of 6-7 players.donaldo wrote:The buck stops with the manager. He picks this pile of shite. He fails to buy players in the positions that needed stregthening. He lets good players leave Flamini and Diarra go when we are crying out for a DM while giving £80k a week to a player who wanted to leave in the summer. He picks Eboue,Song,Denilson,Diaby and Bendtner. The transfer window is a joke.He treats the fans like fools(1 or 2% behind Man Utd!!!!,Almunia world class!!!!!!!)
We need a new manager with new players and new ideas. And we need a new board
OUT! OUT! OUT!

Typical!
Goonersid has every right to call for Arsene's sacking but as usual he gets barracked by numptys and others bottle it and blame the situation on a certain player being injured or whatever.
Any other manager would have been gone by now but our board is content to stick with him in a false position of security backed by a load of JCL's who think Arsenal is Arsene Wenger as they haven't supported the club long enough to know any fucking different!

is there any need for the personal abuse? you're bang out of orderCockerill's chin wrote:I understand the frustration sid. Fuck tossers like Tinpot who don't need a keyboard for their replies.
This train wreck has been coming for years now. It pisses me off to hear PHW creaming himself how the business has afforded Arshavin even in these difficult times. Our net spend over these past four years is still in the plus you old school duffer.
Some fans seem to swallow their sugar coated shit. Tinpot is first in queue with his mouth open wide.

Radford I dont think that is unwarranted considering that Tinpot is more than happy to dish it out himself.
Also, Tinpot's eloquent reply was a string of wanker signs directed at the person who started the thread so to say Cockerill's Chin is out of order is a bit daft!

Still got that pronnounciation problem then Radford? (Although I must admit, saying 'you're wrong on reflection' can seem a bit of a mouthful!!)Radford149 wrote:yea can't say you're wrong on reflectiongus ceasar is a legend wrote:Like I say Radford, as Tinpot is more than happy to dish it out I believe Cockerill's Chin only replied in the terms that Tinpot frequently uses himself.

Remember what I told you: You're as in Ure; Wrong as in Rong; and for the new word reflection I recommend breaking it down thus: re-fleck-sion. Simples!!

Yesterdays anger has now subsided and has descended into utter depression. As others have mentioned some of us have gone through this kind of slide before and believe me it isnt pretty and usually isnt something that a club bounces back from overnight like many of our "newer" supporters appear to think
I would hope that on reflection most fans who defended wenger yesterday can now see that in truth he is at the core of most of our problems. Yes certain players are shit but it is wenger that keeps picking them to represent our club. It is wenger who has for no apparent reason decided that these players are good enough and that there is no need to bring in better players. It is wenger that sends out these players week after week with no sense of urgency or passion for this club, the fans or indeed their team-mates and again this is clearly an area that falls under the remit of a manager.
There are many of us that has believed for a long time now that this would be cesc's last season with us and I believe that it is fair to assume that failure to qualify for champs lge football will almost guarantee that. How many more will follow him ? If even 3 or 4 players leave this team can you explain why there is a need to keep wenger cos many on here point to players leaving us if we cut wenger loose and that should be reason enough to keep him
Really and truely if cesc leaves then I could not give a flying fcuk who else follows him out the door and I am saying that even though I am a big big fan of sagna and clichy and in an ideal world I would also like to keep rvp, ramsey, vela, theo and maybe a couple of others. I am sick of watching our so called star players walk away from this club but yet still hear crap about what a big club we are. It is true that all clubs lose players but not at the rate with which we lose them cos anybody with even half a brain would know that if you continue to lose players like we have done then your team is only going in one direction and that is down
It is this reason as much as any other that highlights a total deriliction of duty by both the manager and board that imo should see both removed from the club.
Again for those that are too young to realise this club has got a glorious history(no listing mickey mouse cups shared with clubs like ipswich or norwich in our roll of honour
). This rightly suggests that we didnt just exist before wenger arrived but we actually had spells of dominance in the past where we were the top club in england and indeed were so as recently as 1991(just 5 short years before wenger arrived). To suggest that the club will fall apart without wenger is ridiculous in the extreme much as it was when I thought that we would never have a manager as good as GG when he was sacked. Wenger has taken the club as far as he can imo and for what he has given us I am and will be eternally grateful but at the end of the day it is he that serves our club and not the other way around and what he is actually serving us up now is unacceptable by any managers standards. Out of respect for him I would allow him to finish out the season with us but make no mistake I would def push him out the door the very second our season is over. We had never heard of wenger before he joined us so the fact that there is no outstanding candidate to replace him jumping out at us does not overly concern me except for the fact that we had a football man in charge of recruiting him back then(Dein) where now we have nobody. Personally I would like to see rijkard getting the job but that is of course another days work but one thing is for certain no business can or should sit back and do nothing as an employee continues to mismanage to this degree just because they dont have a replacement ready.
Finally I would like to call on fans everywhere to wise up and protest at this board. It is undeniable that they have sat back and watched and maybe been the reason why so many players have left this club and have watched as wenger has failed to replace them. At the very least that have allowed wenger far far too much freedom without being called to account for the contimued slide of the team and at worst they have financially handicapped him and the team but either way the same set of rules should apply to the board as it does to wenger........if those serving under you and whose performances you are meant to oversee are not doing their job then at the end of the day the responsibility lies at your door and so it is for this board

Spot on again Augie
but there have been some of us on here that have seen it coming for a long time.I believe Wenger has used up his chances. He decided to rid the squad of experience and put all his faith in youth. He picks the likes of Almunia,Denilson,Song,Eboue, and Bendtner.
our last four league finishes have been 4th(thank God for Lasagne) 4th.3rd and 5th or 6th is that good enough for a club that charges the highest ticket prices in Europe? NO

but we tried to sign a dm... oh sod it, I keep pointing this out but with the exception of donaldo, nobody addresses it or remembers it in their wish to attack everything about the team at the moment.
I do think bastard is harsh. I don't think sacking Arsene now will help, sacking him if we finish 5th or worse certainly but give till end of season. With the chances we have created in last three games, no manager could expect Arshavin, Nasri, Van Persie, Vela, Gallas and Nic to all manage 0 goals in open play. If somebody starts scoring then we will hit an even better run of form, whether it will be too late I don't know but we finally have a strong defense, found our creative feet in last three games, just can't seem to score.
If we do sack Wenger in the summer then there will certainly be plenty of choices to take over, the idea he is unsackable is silly. Just don't think it should be now, think we should give him the 38 games that constitutes a season
