I would give Wenger one more season BUT only if he actually intends to improve our squad by bringing in a holding midfielder, at the very least!!
Not replacing Flamini has ruined our season, and if he can't see that and keeps relying on Song and Denilson, then fuck it.... sack him on the spot, because if he truely believes we don't need a holding midfielder, then he's lost it.
At the end of the day, only Gazidis and the board know what Wenger's true thoughts on our squad are, and who he intends to sign over the summer... and if Wenger hasn't learned from this season and intends to let another summer pass by without addressing our obvious flaws, then he should be sacked.
However, I'm still hopeful that Wenger will turn things round over the summer, and with a lot more luck with injuries, I think (hope) we'll be a force to reckon with again next season.
Agree almost word for word with the above from g88ner. We really need that defensive CM and I would like to see a little bit of contrition from Wenger and an admittance that he got it wrong. I don't want him sacked yet but if he fails to learn the lessons and if we haven't drastically improved by the end of next season, then there may be no other option.
I pity the fool that wants arsene wenger gone as it is the players on the pitches fault not his in my opinion...except for maybe buy more players what could another manager do differently?? galvanise the team? surely they have something about tham to do that themselves....getting rid of arsene would bring more problems than it would solutions.........ohhh noooooo (the only thing i hate is the out of position-ness)

who bought the players ?
who plays eboue ?
who has blind fath in these medicore players ?
eboue ?
I would like a new manager next season, Wenger will be remembered as Arsenals greatest ever manager but everyone has their sell by date and Wenger has reached his. Thanks and goodbye
One more season for me, before I even think of calling for his head as there is no doubt he is under financial constraints altho how severe is unknown, which of course is probably the main reason for the varied responses!
From what he said the other day he thinks that it's going to be another 2yrs before the team reaches it's peak, but even then there is no doubt that some of our current 1st teamers are only ever going to be AFC squad standard at best which again raises another talking point..... does he realise this but is puttin on a brave face for fear of wreckin what little self-belief the team have left or is he losing it???
There is also no getting away from the fact that injuries kill us every year because our squad lacks depth and quality which might improve but unless we see a sustained challenge next season then it's seems certain fans are intent on bringing things to a head before that because we apparently have the same wage bill as ManU (I hope everyday that that stat is not true)!
Excusing Eboue's recent disasterous sending off by claiming that at 25 he is a young player, was ill advised to say the least, he didn't seem to have any problem with tearin van Persie a new one in full view of the watchin world when he got sent off at Soton even tho him and Eboue were born only a matter of weeks apart and worse still that was over 4yrs ago when RvP was at the tender age of 21, and he has since said that he deserved it and that it was a turning point in his career!
As far as I can see is that AW has played things so close to the wire that it required near perfect judgement and some measure of half decent fortune, and the bottom line is, it all comes down to the money and whether it's available or not! It's a key point cos he shops in the bargain basement perhaps without any choice and has spent what little money he has spent pretty well, and without making excuses, IMO he has also been an extremely unlucky manager!
...unless we win CL...I'll give AW one last straw...
what if we loose in the cl final to a very dodgey decision ?
would you sack him?
Yes
I would have judged him over the whole season.Do you think if he stays he will sell Eboue and Song?No f**king chance them two clowns will still be here when Cesc and RVP have long gone and as long as Wenger stays
Wenger is our greatest manager ever but he is passed his sell by date
