wait 3 years,, yes we should go thru and yes its about luck and skill after that,, thing is wit the cl is that its gettin like the fa cup in that the bigger teams always win it,, wat i dont get is the fact we hav money 2 spend now but wont,,

I believe we have more chance of winning the Champions League over the Premier League because we can be as good as anyone on our day.
We can go up against teams like Real Madrid, AC Milan, Lyon, Barca and Inter Milan and beat them over two legs of each round, we would have a better chance of winning if we reached the final because our young team have been to a Champions League Final and a Carling Cup Final in the last two years giving us great experiance.
No doubt it is going to be a long hard season if we are to get to Moscow in May but it's far from impossible.

Here's to a good season for the Gooners, hopefully next stop Moscow

Although the writer may be a tad over-confident, it's better than having no faith that we can actually go on to win the competition.

Yes we can win it but so can the three other English teams as well as many of the foreign ones.But with a bit of luck and a kind draw assuming we get through against Sparta we could go all the way.My real worry about those lunatics from Prague is they will try to kick us off the park,especially Repka if he plays he will want an equalizer against Fabregas.Lets hope the referee is strong.

To whomever it may concern....

So what you're saying is we could win it if we have luck and a large enough squad. Yes, but you couldn't argue that we have a big enough squad - you argued that everyone else does, which makes them much better placed to win it!

So, the upshot is, if we get a bit of luck along the way we might win it.

Next you're going to be telling me that bears shit in the woods!

Sorry mate ,no offense, but you're mental.

Arsenal will not win the champions league this year and will struggle to finish fourth in the PL.

Stick to cheerleading, and stop trying to write serious articles on subjects you know little of.

Sorry that was a bit harsh, but come on, making statements about how good we were in our CL final run has little bearing on this team.

you used the word LUCK three times in your article.

Of course you need luck to win things, you also need a massive squad.

Something we DEFINITELY don't have.

As much as I would love us to win it, I have my doubts. We do have a strong squad but I still think we lack that killer instinct to finish off the smaller teams that we would normally be expected to beat. We see it every year in the group stages and we saw it all last season in the league. The start of this season hasn't been much different and we have relied a bit on luck to get us the results we've required. Maybe thats something we have needed though as we seemed to be missing that special kind of luck that chelski seem to get week in week out and who knows maybe this could finally be our year. I still think we need an out an out winger, who can take on players and score the necessary goals we need. Every top European club has 1, if not 2 which is something we have lacked since pires left!! Anyway once we can kill off the weaker teams and be a bit more aggressive as we have been so far this season, we will shine as we always perform against the stronger teams.
