harryo45, i can see your point and somewhat agree about adebayor, but without van persie this season would be going a whole lot worse. Sure he isn't perfect but these last couple months he's been one of our best players.

i dont get why he started vela and dropped eboue, when to be fair to ee27 he had a bit of a stormer tuesday and would have been full of confidence...but he started a player that rarely makes an impact when brought on and did nothing tuesday

and it showed when eboue came on he had an impact

wenger messed up again imo

OMD if we were to play eboue and not vela ppl and get the same result ppl will be saying 'we should have started vela'
Lets face it vela wasnt the problem, nasri's inability to shoot and arshavins preety poor performance were to blame.
Fulham may have had more chances but we had the better chances and should have one. It was just bad luck, hit the post twice, persie's header, diabys shot etc......
at least it was a better performance than recent premier league games. Theo and cesc to return, when they do all should be good (in the europa cup next season  )

to be honest when i saw them three warming up i did have a little chuckle to myself, but they both played well, no worse than anyone else wearing red, and it just shows that eboue is so much a better player when playing right back and not in midfield, open up your eyes mr wenger, do not play him in midfield, when he plays in defence he is able to go on the overlap and is a much better player for it

Not a surprise at all.

Many of us on here said we would be fifth, because we failed to replace Flamini/Gilberto/Diarra with a defensive midfielder in the summer transfer window.

Of the top of my head I think it was about 35% of people here who voted 5th, when there was a thread with a poll in it at the start of the season.

Spine of the team is crucial, and we are missing a key element of that.

was at the game 2day, and if ever there was a jeckel and hyde team we are it. how can a team play so well against, better opposition 3 nites before and play shite like that 2 day.

2day, in my view, was a case of 1 step foward, 2 steps back. i though, everybody,, (yes everbody) had their moments, but for all that they done good, they done double that crap. our 2 full back must be the worst crossers of a ball, at the club in a long time. they can bomb up and down the line, but cant cross for butter. toure and gallas, solid for the most part, but also prone 2 errors. nasri, please learn 2 shoot, arshavin, not near fit, denilson and diaby clutz, and clumbsy. vela, head down, but no end product. rvp done his best, but not a clinical finisher. eboue, who i hate with a passion, done ok, when played at rb, and bendtner, done ok, despite some clumbsy touchs again. thank fcuk, we only seen song warming up on the sideline.

JUst got in. Fucking embarassment. Agree with most of the stuff already posted but Arshavin was the only positive about today. We haven't seen passes like that into channels since db10. Unfortunately the rest of the team was shit. they should be ashamed of themselves.

Derry, I actually thought of all the people who have to travel long journeys to witness the rubbish served up yesterday on the way home. But in my view it probably proved how shit Roma were last Tuesday!

Hutchy, you've twice now tried to point out Eboue was dropped for Vela.

Did I miss something and Eboue played left wing against Roma? Wasn't Vela on the left wing against Fulham?

You will find that Eboue was dropped for Arshavin who started on the right and that Bendtner who played on the left against Roma was dropped for Vela. The same Arshavin who cost £15m odd. And who had better be starting games at that price. Eboue was left on the bench where he belongs.

He needs to play Arshavin in the middle where he gets the ball often, like Cesc does. If he played Cesc on the wing he'd be a fraction of the player he is now, why does Wenger HAVE to play people out of position for fcuks sake?
Oh.....bad management!
