I can only see two positions the club can be in myself!

1) We are skint end of story. The move from Highbury to Ashburton has crippled us and in the time it takes us to recover we are going to have to shop in the bargain basement if we are to shop at all!

2) The board are resisting a sale for a year but are using that span of time to keep as much value in the club as possible. This way should Stan force an aggressive takeover the market price due to its fat bank balances of the club is kept artificially high thus guaranteeing a higher return for the shares.

Now we have been told that the first position is simply not true and our accouting returns are going to show how healthy we are!

So is the second position true? Seems a very viable option to me!

Is that in the best interests of the club and supporters? I dont think so!

Cor, this is being done to death, isn't it? Just joshing, Rebel.

In all seriousness, only time will tell what the real situation is at the Club. Arsene has never been one to throw money around recklessly, so I'm going to believe him here. I think he's got a certain philosophy and he's sticking to it.

joshing our not its a topic thats out there, i feel the club is lyin 2 us the fans about our transfer fund, my own feeling is that the club are waiting for a year before selling and that the books will look good for the new owners,, i know its been done 2 death before but i fear for my club, our club, and do not want 2 be scrapin 2 get 4th place every season cos one of these years one of the other teams will get a run goin and take that spot,, :?

Or Arsene has money he needs and refuses to spend. We do have a large debt to pay yes but by the sounds of it, we also have a large income and while we shouldn't be silly with money, we can afford to spend. So no, we are far from broke I believe and credit to the board for that

I don't think we are 'broke' because if we was the board would of sold up by now, although we have to pay off the debts of the stadium it sounds like we are generating enough money from it to pay them off.
Someone said about Utd's summer spending but that is all borrowed money and are in more need to win trophies than anyone else to pay of their debt. We all know that Chelsea can buy whatever they want but even when inning the League they was £80m loss at the end of each year. I'm not sure about Liverpool's situation after their takeover but they are looking 'healthy'.
We are unfortunatly a business now but unlike the other three clubs mentioned we are mostly run of our own backs and for that i think the board need congratulating.

All summer long I have openly backed the idea of a takeover and I now feel the lack of investment in new players during the open transfer window now makes this the only option for the club as a whole. We cannot go on kidding ourselves that we have a squad to compete at the highest level. Lesser clubs appear to have more clout in the market than we do and Arsene's claim that he is happy with what he has is frankly laughable!!!

Yes, we do have good young players but if RVP gets crocked where on earth are the goals going to come from? Far too many questions and not enough answers. If Arsene loved the club so much why did he Feck up our summer with more and more of this will he wont he bullshit :x

If he will not buy now why are people so sure he will buy in January!?! Nonsense!!!! Open the door to a buy out I say and the sooner the better!

Yep, let us take the club out of the hands of those who have got us so far and into the hands of someone new while also putting ourselves in even heavier debt for the privilege of being someone's toy. As for Arsene's contract, when has he ever done it quickly?

So a 4th place for two years which we all find disappointing which says how high the standard have been met, CL place for what, ten years running, bringing an unknown manager, a new stadium, keeping Arsenal out of debt and not mucking things up.
