So who do you fancy in the Champions League? (30/8)

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

usual thread starter… So who do you fancy and who do you think we’ll actually get? Who would you definitely want to avoid? Think there is a consensus that the further east the boys have to travel, the worse the result is likely to be, as well as the knock-on effect of the subsequent Premier League game

It's gonna be a hard one this year as i can see a big boy team coming up against us
But the way we've looked & the spirit at the mo we are on top of the moon (despite being 6th  )
The bigger the challenge is is how champions are made & it will test out our team which can be good & can be bad
Lets just hope for the best & not end up anywhere bad like we use to

I want Slavia Prague so I can go back!!
Ajax are out so cant get them, Dam's always a good one..

Celtic or Rangers, not really sure who we can play and at what stage but we still owe Chelsea for a couple of years ago and I'd like to get Barca at some stage, revenge is sweet and all that..

I would like one of the Scottish teams would be a good atmosphere in both games also don't mind who we get really as long as its not over in Russia
Dream group would be:
Werder Bremen (Germany)
Marseille (France)
Rangers (Scotland) or Slavia Praha (Czech Republic)
I think i would be happy to have these in our group :D

FAO Editor - what are the implications of the Gooner TM? Does the TM work retrospectively?

the gooner is not under threat from what arsenal are trying to do. at this stage i can't go into any more detail than that. suffice it to say that we are obviously looking into all the implications of what is going on.
