Sorry, Don't agree.

One above average performance against the worst team in the league (with a naive idiot for a manager) is not good enough for someone who is always running his mouth off.

If Bendtner was a bit more humble about his own abilites (which he damn well needs to be) then he wouldnt get the stick for his numerous poor performances (and thats NOT just from Arsenal fans either).

I have yet to be convinced that he will ever be any better than Championship/Bottom of the Premiership level.

Bendtner if he does what he said he thinks he does then we have no problem but that's his problem he DOESN'T.He needs to shut up and produce the goods ,instead of having a impact as sub he should transfer that form to when he's given a start.
He lacks a 1st touch, his positioning is lacking and very in- decisive but he can hold up the ball ,which adecrapyor can't,but yes he is young still so hopefully he can turn it around and back up his talk.

don't believe everything you read.... a lot of the quotes get really exaggerated- he says something like "I think I deserve more first team chances" in Danish then the Sun comes up with "BENDTNER: I AM BETTER THAN ZIDANE"

fact is, he scores goals and that's what matters - 11 in 20 starts and 14 sub appearances this season; not bad at all

Bendtner's problem is that because he is so confident and because of our thin striking options and lack of contributions from senior players in terms of goals this season he is, as said by the previous poster, being treated as a senior player rather than one of 20/21 with potential and time to improve. His record is perfectly adequate for a player of that status.

I would like to see his role changed a little bit so he is up on the last defender more while the more skilful forward players like RVP, Vela, Arshavin and Nasri (whichever one of them is filling the second striker role) can play off him and that Bendtner can get into the box more to score headers and take other chances from that range. He looks his worst when trying to step off and be the playmaker.
