Burnley were poor, while I felt defensively they were better then in our defeat to them, they created nothing till late on. On our side, our finishing was better and our defending (probably something to do with having a centreback and not having Randall on the pitch) was better but I felt we lacked a cutting edge in terms of creating chances till Burnley got tired. Comfortable victory in the end, can't ask for much more but Roma and Prem game next weekend is the key test

Positive:
-3-0 win, another cleansheet, in the last eight. Yay us
-Back four was solid. I was impressed by Gibbs who kept his men out of the game and got forward well
- Lots of possession. Song was impressive, two assists, kept the ball, strong tackles. Felt Eboue started brightly, faded a bit but did alright, a 6/10 effort but I can see where IHH is coming from
- Eduardo, can be anonymous and then wham bang thank you Mam. Showed some good passing
- Classy finish by Vela. Sometimes I think he can be a little over ambitious outside the box with his passing and dribbling but better judgment should come with time.
- Arshavin got an assist and game time that he, Eduardo, Walcott, Ramsey and Vela so badly need.

Negatives:
-Diaby played like he had just come from injury. Ok, fine in his own third till late on, when he started getting sloppy, but did anyone notice him in their half doing anything useful?
- Why bring on Van Persie? The guy can do with a rest, bring on Nic if you must take off Vela
- Djorou was lucky not to give away a penalty

Don't think Bendtner was even on the bench to bring on?

He was mate. See the teams on p3.

Irish there is no point constantly posting that everthing every Arsenal player does is perfect and brilliant. We all love the club but one of the things we can do here is discuss what is happening in a realistic way. This would be a very boring place if every comment was "Song is brilliant, yes I agree."

Vela looked so much happier as a striker, and was more productive there than on wing.

Arshavin had one of those tough games where he is still working his way to fitbess.

Diaby lacks spatial awareness, final ball continues to be poor.

RvP was not fully sharp, dawdled on ball a bit.

Djourou was rusty.

Credit due to Song, 2 great assists for the goals. But against top level opposition he isn't good enough. It speaks volumes that his and Bendtner's best games this season i.e today and West Brom are against Championship level sides. I hope I'm wrong and they both develop and shove it up our arses but I can't see it.

Just got back, I know its burnley but still a great performance, eduardo=class. Diaby was preety poor, Vela was top class, eboue was good, song was good, gibbs was very good, DJ wasnt as good (looked nervous for some reason :? ) We have strung 3 good performances together on the trot, consistancy begining to return? Maybe not but I am a happy gooner atm

Seriously irish gooner are you a genuine Gooner or are you just here for a piss take ? Some of your ramblings in defense of average players like song would embarass the fcuk out of patients in a nut house
Song did ok today and did very well for the two assists but, like bedtner during the week v wba, I would suggest that championship teams are his level. But credit where his due his pass to eduardo in particular was well tasty and I will give him that 8)

Talking of eduardo did anybody else think that he looked well pissed off when he was subbed ? I thought wenger's subbing of vela was a disgrace but I did agree 100% with the subbing of the dude and would be surprised and disappointed if he was pissed at being taken off :o As I said I cannot for the life of me understand wenger's treatment of vela - his performance up front today was exceptional and his movement and showing for the ball at all times was outstanding. So given a chance in his natural position he impresses but wenger still takes him off after an hour - what has the boy to do to get a fair crack ?? :? Dont even suggest that he will start against roma wed night cos I would suggest that there is more of a chance of me starting

On the negative side I thought diaby and arshavin were poor today and despite what he says you could tell in the 2nd half that aa is desperate to score his 1st goal as he passed up good opportunities to pass by shooting at the wrong times. Theo looked off the pace as well which is totally understandable after 4 months out and sagna's crossing was poor again today but his defensive work was exceptional as always 8)
