As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.
I would say bring back the cup winners cup to bolster the FA cup, but as someone wrote earlier, the other countries don't give a rat's ass for their domestic cups so that ain't gonna happen.
I think it's a bad idea to let FA cup winners into the CL for all the reasons given on here but also it will cheapen the CL even further. And it's pretty dodgy as it is..... Champions League? With 2nd, 3rd and 4th place teams in it? Are you having a laugh?

BTW; the thought of Millwall representing the PL in the CL is horrific. The dirty manure filth are bad enough but that shower of racist neanderthals? Jaysus, it doesn't bare thinking about...
This could be bad from The Arsenal point of view.
But if you look at it from the UEFA persective then its probably a good idea, as it could lead to the league being more competitve, and it gives every team in the country a chance of European Football.
However it could lead to the Champs league becomin a joke as teams like Gretna who won scotlands FA cup could be entered into it.

They already have the UEFA Cup for that! The idea is barmy and I very much doubt it will be implemented. As someone has already mentioned, the proposed change is really for political and not football reasons.
I agree with DB10Gooner that they should re-introduce the Cup Winners Cup if they want to reward more clubs with European football. At least that way it won't matter if the lesser sides (who will probably be runners-up) get a place.
