As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.
Awesome game. Theo, Andre, Nasri, Song and Deni all excellent. Cesc back in two weeks according to Wenger. Brilliant.
Would have been the perfect afternoon had Nick B at least clapped the fans as he went off to applause from us despite his woefull finishing and if Eboue had at least slapped hands or looked at Arshavin before starting his (f*cking embarrasing) dance after scoring a tap in the Russian had created, after all the first thing eboue did coming off the bench was slap hands with Diouf who had tried honestly to break our keepers ankle in the first half so what must Arshavin think of Eboue already!?
Plus eboue wouldnt let him, or anyone else, take the pen which looked from where i was sitting to confuse even Toure as to why Eboue could nominate himself taker after being on 8 mins. What a fans favourite again eh. Absolute tw*t. Hate him.
Bendtner had a nightmare finishing yesterday but give the lad a break, he has just turned 21, he is not a 28 year old £15m + striker. As I asked the bloke behind me, who spent the 70 minutes that he occupied his seat before buggering off, name another 21 year old at a premiership club who has scored 11 goals and is their clubs top goal scorer.
Bendtner kept showing for the ball and didn't hide. I thought generally he led the line well against a physical Blackburn side. Compare that to Robin's performance as loan striker on wednesday. The boos and ironic cheers when Bendtner went off were a disgrace. We know he can finish like his last minute goal against Bolton and against Donesk and he scored a brace in his last premiership game
There are a host of big name strikers that would probably be better being the finished article but we all know that's not Wenger's way and Bendtner is a developing player with a fully fit squad he would only be on the bench
I can’t see Spurs getting anything at Villa Park this afternoon,
- apart from this an accurate editorial. Stand up if you hate (?)Tottenham. Now we are 4th and Villa play Man U and Chelski next. 4th spot - as was said 20 years ago - is "up for grabs now"...

Hmmm, a fair amount of that was sarcastic cheering - or people cheering that he was being subbed, rather than seriously applauding him. I was glad to see a lot of others get behind him though
and good editorial overall, agree with most of your points and if you want to swap Adebayor and Bendtner with a class striker like David Villa (perhaps with more height than the Spaniard) but you really would prefer one season wonder Roque Santa Cruz who's scored a massive 4 goals in 20 starts this season!?
It certainly was a game to lift the spirits of all gooners. Walcott is looking like the real deal more consistently now. If Eduardo, or possibly even Ade, had been playing then we might have got to 7 or more.
On a negative note, with the current end of season improvement of the likes of Song, Denilson and, you have to love him, Eboue, will this blind Wenger during the summer again to think he doesn't need to strengthen the squad? It's happened before with Senderos, and the start of the following season was back to the same old same old.
but it is already obvious Arsene Wenger has purchased a very intelligent footballer. Going by his spoken English, that may go for his personality too.
Not much has been made of the fact that Shava had four stitches in his foot at half time, which is why he almost did a 'Kolo' coming back, as he did, for the second half rather late. This to me shows him to have exactly the right character - this was after all a run of the mill league game but he wanted to stay on and do the biz - which of course he did.
The fact that he had to have four stitches at half time also says all you need to know about Bolton, sorry Blackburn, and that *word censored* Walrus Head.
