5+6 Rule

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

Should have said there are more complicated rules for the CL.

When I started this thread I was aware of the 'homegrown' rule. this means we have tonns.

Yes Cesc and Clichy as mentioned but also Bendtner, Ramsey (eventually), Vela? plus a host of other of our youngesters.

Wenger obviously a smart man! :wink:

the new rules that uefa want to bring in is you must be able to represent the country of that leagues fa,
so doesnt matter if you come up the youth system and been british wont help either, must be eligible to play for england

The Spanish Waiter does not qualify as he wasn't here before he was 21. Not sure if Vela qualifies either.
