Welcome back Bobby Pires

Welcome back Bobby Pires

Post by Deanjames2 »

I for one am glad of the chance to cheer Super Rob as he never got the propper send off he deserved. He had a bit of a battle winning the fans over with his lethargic style at first but in the end one of my most bitter memories of a dark night in paris was seeing his number come up and watching him walk off the pitch prematurely, not the way we had all hoped he would sign out.

p.s not questioning the decision, was just a shame thats all!

Never should have been subbed that night.

Pires was one of the top three Wenger signings along with Vieira and Henry.

It will be cool to see Pires again, just like when Vieira came back with Juve.

Hopefully we'll get a similar result and performance as we did that night.

What's the chances... 1 - 0 down from the first leg... leading 2 - 0 at Emirates, all of a sudden, Pires goes past Toure who flicks out a leg.....

He couldn't, could he?

A bold statement (which I cant disagree with) & perhaps shows how good a player he was.

Mine was at Villa when he chipped Schmeichel in 2001-2002.
