I was wrong about David Dein (4/9)

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

usual thread starter… Have you changed your mind about David Dein since he became chairman of ‘Red and White’ or is he still the man to lead the club? Do you think he knew everything he needed to about Usmanov’s background? Do you think he could have predicted this kind of backlash?

No, I have not changed my mind about David Dein ... I suspect he was hasty in aligning himself to this guy that seems to have so much negative history ...

It would be interesting to see how DD handles things from here .. If he is the man I think he is, he will do the right thing ...

David Dein

I was a supporter of David Dein but the article by Mark Halfpenny is scary.I have written before that you don`t go from being penniless to a billionaire by being a boy scout which isn`t always a bad thing but this Russian,if the article is correct,is something else and the board should not get involved with him.
I can just imagine if he is in control of Arsenal sending for Arsene before a big important game and telling him `you had better not lose because we know where you live`and God help a player who misses a penalty he probably will be sleeping with the fishes.

you can select the page. there was a story there which i had to pull, but the pics were already in place for that and the subsequent one (don't ask!) so i had to post something there, the virus thing was just a way of ensuring people didn't waste their time viewing a page which there was no reason to. evidently worked!
