Keown regretted going to Villa.

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

Cant hear the sound due to being at work but i remember him saying before how much he regretted leaving. It was over a fiver or something and because of it he missed Anfield '89 and a few more medals

He took us on a tour of the ground last year, my Mrs entered a competition and one of the prizes was a tour of the ground hosted by Keown, Parlour and Winterburn and even then he was saying he regreted it but if i remeber correctly he was saying he had a big argument with george at the time and decided that he had enough of him and wanted to leave ( again if i remember correctly, he did mention something about wages)

So glad he came back when he did. Shame we lost him in the first place though....

It was to do with wages. Can't remember the amount but as Mike said it was something ridiculous like a £5 a week.

Georges agrument was that only 'top' defenders should be on that amount (£X) per week.
