ahole cole

Post by joematty7 »

this is something i have been thinking about since he left us. i dont know why but whenever i watch him against us i can never bring myself to participate in the much deserved hate campaign he brought on to himself after leaving us for more money. instead i just seem to be filled with disappointment, he used to be the player i saw as being closest to us fans in that unbeatables team, he was a bit of a local lad who seemed most like one of us. i dont seem to be able to articulate the disappointment he feels me with, especially when you consider that wenger offered to make him arsenal captain to keep him here. anyone else feel the same? or am i just being to kind to the backstabbing, moneygrabbing good for nothing, wife cheating waste of human space?

The way i see it the Ashley Cole who played on the left hand of our defece, was virtiually impossible to go past in a one on one and formed a n increadible partnership with Bobby Pires attacking wise is dead, The Cash Hole now wearing blue is a compltely different player and humna being. The fact that he plays as if he were helps...

All this being said, it's far from just Ashley's fault things happen the way they did. He's the one that could and should have stopped it when it got out of hand but everyone from his agent to Wenger and our board are to blame...

I've called Ashley everything I need to call him and have gotten all the "hatred" out of my system. He was still part of the invincibles back 4 and we should never forgot that. There was hurt on all sides and certainly there were no winners to come out of the sorry mess. It's time to bury the hatchet (no, not in his head!) and let bygones be bygones and get on with what's truely important..........supporting The Arsenal.

in my line of work i end up doing a fair ammount of work down ar stamford bridge during the week. i can therefore declair that this dump of a club has no class and its players, staff and pen pushers behind the club are just as bad.
cashley's ego was starting to get too big towards the end of his arsenal carear. Chelsea just turned him into an utter wanker of monstorous proportions. it was inevitable seeing as though he was working alongside pikey pricks like JT and fuckwits like lumpard. :awnker:

well there's no doubting that our wee Ashley was not exactly blessed in the brains dept. but even he must realise that he made the biggest mistake of his life leavin AFC, his status is such that almost uniquely he is a national hate figure both on and off the terraces

and let's face it he's not exactly loved by his own fans either, only now does he appreciate what AW meant when he said that money isn't everything.............. and he could've had it all, in fact he already did and didn't realise it, what an idiot

Ashley Cole

hmmm

You know what abiding memory I have of him?
Not the dancing at OT or WHL when titles were won, nor the FA Cups won during the 2002-2005.
Not the endless chat he had with TH14 on the podium after the last ever Highbury match......we all loved him, we all adored him, we all worshipped him, and we all believed he was one of us.

No the memory I have is that photo when he was a ten year old holding the Football League Trophy our heroes won in 1990-91....the glory of Limpar et al...
And that picture will never leave me when Cole is discussed....

I don't hate him, it really doesn't effect me, I can't smoke it, I can't drink it and I can't shag it.....so in that case it matters little

Ashley Cole is a Chelsea player now, life is like that.....mobile phones, fake twenners (new word for the Oxford Dic) but one thing that can be added

In ten years time he will sit at home with his screaming brats running around his feet and they will say one thing.

"Dad why did you leave Arsenal?"

His answer will be quite simple......

Ask your mother

Everything that was mentioned in the first post is my reasons for hating him. He was the player the fans indentified with, he had an incredible parntership with Pires down the left, He was going to captain the side

A great memory I have is at White Hart Lane when we won the league there, he got an inflatable Premier League trophy from the away support, ran over to the centre circle at White Hart Lane and placed the inflatable trophy right there, had an Arsenal cap on and a Premier League Champions flag round him

We loved him at that point but he was found out to be a greedy, disrespectuful mercenry and had his head turned by money and betrayed the club he had been at since he was 10 years old and the supporters who used to sing his name every week for a franchise of a football club and extra money that most fans can only dream about...and that is why I will shout abuse at him every time he returns to our club.

I have always found it interesting though, as much as i hate the rat *word censored*. Arsene had said ashley was a future captain, so why not offer him the money. 5,000 or not, would you all not keep a future captain happy :?:

I think people need to forget the figures involved and think of the principal of what happened, Cole was the best left back in the country and probably one of the best 2 or 3 in the world, if other players of his calibre and below were getting more than 65k a week it's only right that we should have paid him something close to his market value, to deliberately offer him 5k a week less than he asked for was just us f*cking him around, doing our usual trying to be clever to save a few pennies routine, which has ended up with us shooting ourselves in the foot on more than a few occasions in recent years this being one of them.
What shows the whole thing up for what it was is the fact that they brought gallas in who was no where near as accomplished a defender as cole was, hadn't spent years at the club since a boy, hadn't gave his everything week in week out for us for years and we paid him somewhere in the region of 80k a week from the off which was 15k a week more than Cole was asking for, kind of shows you just how stupid those who run the club can be at times, as someone has already mentioned i think we need to look a bit more at the clubs roll in what happened this was not as cut and dry as 'Cole is a greedy asshole' as it was made to look.
I watched cole since he was a boy playing for us and he always gave it everything, at any other big club they bend over backwards to take care of players like him we have a habit of treating those who put their heart and soul into the club like mugs, expect them to be loyal and make do whilst we reward the fairweather primadonnas.

not being funny but if a rival company offered any of you lot more money to do exactly the same thing you would take it and be happy as larry.

i know 50k a week is more than your average 30k a year but its the same principle, he comes from a poor background (hes mum was a dinner lady in my school ffs) so of course he's going to want to make as much money as humanly possible...

i think he knew he's time with us was over with clichy coming through...just wish we took more money

Couldn't agree more.

Cole should still be shot for going to Cska West London but the board was double lucky he did because if he'd gone abroad to Real Madrid people would have focused all their hate towards them instead. I wish Wenger would have staped in and sorted the situation out as well....but I guess he had his Clichy coming through so he wasn't taht bothered.

Hopefully we'll get an even better left back ever soon in Gibbs.
