RVP Injured?

It's Quartz's dream come true. Don't know if its serious or Wenger telling him to play injured. Hopefully the latter as we will need him against Villarreal.

oh yeah, one groin injury in a whole season is absolutely horrible, isn't it

Do you know how many Arsenal games he's missed this season due to injuries so far?

None.

Let's hope it stays that way, though he must be a serious doubt for Saturday if it is his groin.

He's left the Dutch teamcamp yesterday btw, so he will definitely not feature tomorrow.

Looks like RVP, Diaby, and Bendtner are all injured after the first games and out of tomorrows.

If they stay injured for Man City its not too big a deal as we will have Cesc, Ade, and Eduardo back hopefully. But we will need them by Villarreal.

Nic might play tomorrow so his injury probably shouldn't rule him out for Man City

Do you know how many games he has missed over the last few seasons? It's never "just a groin injury" with RVP... Once he picks up one it is soon followed by another and another...

I know exactly how many games he's missed last season and the season before, for that matter.

He didn't have "just a groin injury" or "just a hamstring" injury in either year. His injuries were actually quite serious. Of course he did have a few niggling muscular injuries last season after he got back from 2 serious injuries, but that's to be expected when you are out for a few months time. I hope the same isn't the case for Cesc.

I know the general consent is that Van Persie is a "glass man" etc., but imo that's still to be proven. We'll see how this injury develops and what happens next season.

Back to what matters:

Apparently Van Persie told Dutch TV that he is likely to be out for Saturday's game against Man City but that he expects to be fit for the Champions League game on Wednesday.

Would be great if that's the case. I hope we get confirmation soon either way.
