David Dein’s own goal (3/9)

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

I defend WengerKnows right to insist on more independent information before jumping to conclusion ... I was rather quite surprised and disappointed to read Murray's article about terrorism in the UK, and that only raises issues of credibility about him for me ... Mind you, not the general slant of the article itlsef, but his superior confidence in throwing together so many fantastic assumptions together to reach a plausible conclusion like he did ...

So, I am in the camp that with more independent information about Usmanov, we can get a better opinion of him ... I have so far disregarded the opinions of Craig Murray in my assessment ...

If he is as bad as is being made out, i am sure he will be forced into making a quick withdrawal very soon .. b/c here is a man quietly in the background no publicity, then he decides to do something to positively bolster his image (probably underestimating the intelligence and moral uprightness of the UK press and arsenal supporters) .. if this attempt turns out to have put him in a much worse position than he was before this, I cannot see him wanting to keep the heat on for long ...

The papers so far have touched onto Murray's article but don't seem to have got overly interested (still called a Russian) but the Times seems more happy to give Dein a kicking at the moment. I think if he does try anything then the papers will go "hey who is this guy" and burrow further into it but no more from them for now I suspect unless they need something to write up during the next week.

Alisher Usmanov, potential Arsenal chairman, is a Vicious Thug, Criminal, Racketeer, Heroin Trafficker and Accused Rapist
I suppose Usmanov should have turned up bidding for Arsenal in the mid 1990s, he would have looked like a boy scout in comparison to most of our players at the time (I joke of course).

May I reiterate that I have NEVER trusted Mr. David Dein and have never bought his 'having the best interests of Arsenal FC 'cos I bleed red and white' bullshit.

I don't know now what to think. I think I'll just focus on the next game (you don't hear that so much these days, do you?)

Nicely done...I think we could make a whole team of English Internationals who in one way or the other have "misbehaved"
