islington academy - anyone going?

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

I went for Liverpool away in the champions League last year...I won't be going tommorow as the pain of that night still hurts so can't face going back there...Was pretty good in there though, atmosphere weren't as good as I though It might be but still good none the less.

I must be one of a minority, but the game is on terrestrial so i'll be watching this at home.

its proper rare to get to see a game at home without paying more than what it costs to go to a live one, so on the odd occasion once or twice a season i 'll take the comfort of my sofa and shout at the tv like a proper old man armchair fan. .

Queues for the bogs at halftime are a lot smaller when you watch it at home !

I'm considering it, you can just turn up I presume, no need to get ticket in advance or any off that pony ?

No need for tickets in advance, doors open from 6.30. I'll be there and quietly confident on a decent result!

Watched that at a club level screening......never again, needed more than the one free drink you got, but couldn`t afford it at the prices they were charging. :banghead:

The club level screenings are shite. Unless you're one of the 20 people bang in front of the main screen, you end up watching on a little 20" LCD screen. Better view/atmosphere in a pub. Plus it's cheaper and doesn't smell like those disgusting pies they sell. Fuck knows what's in them, but people were walking around with paper trays full of multicoloured mush.
