Chelski semi? Where you drinking?

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

Chelski semi? Where you drinking?

Post by Goonerthomo »

Evening all. I am a regular drinker in th Herbert Chapman on match days but there seems to be no direction on where people are meeting before the Wembley Semi. Wembley, as we all know is pretty devoid of decent pubs and the last thing we want to do is end up where the Chelski are drinking. We have heard rumours of Baker Street. Anyone have any ideas??

Quite interested to know myself - am meeting up with the cousin that morning and am hoping we'll go for a jar or two pre match to join in with the banter 8) :barscarf:

there is one good pub in wembley 'The Torch'. If you turn go down the steps at the station, turn right before you go under the bridge, go left back up over the bridge, and straight up for about 200 yards, it's on the right. Normally one team will have it. I'm not sure if the police designate it or it's whoever gets there first. Definately the best pub for when there's a game though.

I remember the Torch from the old days. Too busy and a bit of a hole. Unless its changed - but thanks anyway!

3one7 bar, 5 mins from finchley Rd tube has been booked for Arsenal fans, along with the Silver Spoons Nightclub at Wembley itself. This holds 2000 people and there is a small charge to get in (£3/4 i think) and is staggering distance to the ground (again this is just for Arsenal). Both should be a good laugh.

Baker St will be full of Chavs no doubt!

We've got our tickets for the Silverspoon near to Wembley. Think it has sold out now though.

Fuck that I will take a nice drink in Holloway (not in Phibbers !) beforehand and make my way across the city in due course.

I did these before the England - Kazahstan game with no problems.
