parking at wembley

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

I live in stanmore and they've just implemented a parking permit system on the road where the station is so no street parking anymore. The station car park is big but will fill up in the morning. During the old Wembley days, people used to park on the grass verges - you will get a fine as the wardens are out in force on match days at Wembley.

If anyone tells you to park in Lidl's car park, they are probably a chav fan as Lidl will clamp/tow your car.

Best thing to do is park on a side street between off Marsh lane in Stanmore and that way you could pop to a bar called Jonathans or there's a weatherspoons close by.

If your coming from the M1, go straight ahead past the mc donalds and tesco, past stanmore station and take the first left on to Merrion Avenue and if you go straight ahead on to Howberry Road you will find some street parking around there. This way you could use Cannons Park or Stanmore.

Word of advice - don't leave arsenal flags on your car. The area is mainly arsenal/spurs.

We always used to park up in the actual station car park, but that was back in day ! But the last time was 98 so I imagine things have changed somewhat !

go to the TFL website and type in tube station car parks. That will show all the parking as well as prices
