Denilson

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

ratboy?

why do people love jumping on our young players so much :banghead: :banghead:
cos he is totally useless. Gibbs didn't have a good game, but I or most people here could give him more time as he didn't play regularly yet.

However, Denilson has played most of the games this season, he still can't give a simple pass, this is just a joke

As I said elsewhere, Denilson should not be allowed anywhere near Cesc EVER!!!
Cesc/Gilberto – Gilberto playing as the main holding player.

Cesc/Flamini – Flamini playing in the holding/pressing role, which allowed Cesc to concentrate solely on attacking.

Cesc/Denilson – Each player being given the dual responsibilities of defending & attacking together.
Surely we saw the real Cesc last season and after Denilson came off today

Cesc and Arshavin both had a good game in the end.
But for me, Ade was the one who changed the game today (my man of the match besides of course our Denilson  ). So whoever here said to sell Greedy, he or she is out here. We just need him to play in front. When he is fit, he could be a monster :barscarf: :barscarf: :barscarf:

Cesc + Song is our best midfield partnership currently. Denilson doesn't come close as Fabregas, Nasri, Rosicky, Arshavin and Wilshere are all better in the same position.

I would rather play Eboue ahead of useless Denilson....no pace, can't pass, can't tackle, not to mention can't shot as well

Oh, so Song scores a goal and it our best partnership?

I have never come across so many naive, stupid and ignorant people in my life. For God sake, you lot need to get a grip. Denilson did not play well, but I bet you were not all asking for Toure to be dropped and having he was sold when he was having a miserable time.

He has been fantastic this season and your lack of football knowledge defies belief at times.

No. Song's goal was a bonus, his overall performance was class. His performances since January have generally been good too.

Denilson has been shit all season.

It seems, amazingly, that Rolypoly found a home for at least one of his sperm.

How was he classy all game? What do you people watch?

He was good, but "classy"... :banghead:

I will accept that Denilson was not awesome, but Song was by no means on another level.

What makes people so against Denilson? I believe that there are people who do not rate him, which is fair enough, but he is not that bad. He is nowhere near as bad as some people like to believe, but they will route for Song after about 5 good games.

Not Arsenal quality
Never makes an advance pass
Can't tackle
Too lightweight to play midfield enforcer role which Wenger usually plays him in
Slows down pace of game

He looked really good in the Carling Cup run two seasons ago, but has gone backwards - he's simply out of his depth in the premiership.

Spot on, can't argue, it's exactly what I think about Denilson 2 :barscarf:

He is Arsenal quality because he has played more games than any other arsenal player.
He has completed hundreds of forward passes, it is just stupid to say that he never passes forward.
He has tackled with a higher rate of success than any other Arsenal player (apart form maybe Clichy)
The lad may not be 6ft2, but he is never bullied out of a game and gives it as much as he takes it.
And he is (according to Wenger) one of the best passers and most consistent quick passers in the team.

If we say Denilson is not good enough judging my his performances, Bendtner, Walcott, Toure, Almunia, Gibbs, Clichy, Vela, Nasri, Silvestre, Diaby and some others are also below Arsenal standard because he has performed better than them this year.
