UCL SEMI VS MANURE

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

The mancs unforseen problems in the league could prove to be of great benefit to us in terms of this tie, and another slip up in the meantime by Villa would really see the pressure come off us in the race for 4th spot, thus allowing us to devote all our efforts in one direction.
The biggest factor in this tie could be who is available, who needs to be rested etc,and unless the scousers fall apart, then the mancs are going to be pushed all the way to the line and something will have to give. Whilst we may have the luxury of having virtually secured 4th spot.
I honestly believe we will beat utd over 2 legs as long as our injury list doesn't continue to grow as fast as Eboue's fan club.

what i think is clear is that if we had drawn porto we would be expected to over come them but with united we are always second favourites and we thrive on this. this team seems to always enjoy being perceived as the underdogs and i really think we will beat them. the expectations of their disgusting fans should inspire our team enough, they really think they will win everything and i think we can put a spanner in their works because in the big games this current arsenal side always seem to play to their best.

Take a walk down Drayton Park / Gillespie Road on the day of the match, you'll find more touts than you can shake a stick at doing there "Buy and sell ya tickets" ventriloquist impressions.

I think people are more excited by a CL semi final than a game in the PL that probably doesn't matter that much. There'll be a sticky soon.

what a game this is gonna be. can't wait to see it! shame about the difficulty getting a ticket really for such games. A mate of mine who supports Villa never has any trouble getting tickets for any games around the country

true I suppose. We could be the team to stop the united treble.
Beat them in the league so liverpool can catch them (not too bothered who wins really), the champions league and the FA cup in the final :barscarf:

So when we beat the filth and reach the CL final you can all thank me. Oh, and the players too...
Good man!

I've booked a hotel in central Rome - €119 for 4 of us - thinking that it'll be hard to get anything decent at a good price once we've humbled Man Utd in the semi..... :barscarf: ! That said, there is no cancellation charge should things not quite turn out right  !

Flights to Rome, even with Ryanair, already seem to be crazy prices so we too are thinking of heading towards Pisa or Bologna, and then hiring a car. Its worked out really well for us, with our second leg on the Tuesday that we'll have an extra day to book up flights/hotels etc before the other finalists  !!!
