We've got the best steward at the grove

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

Block 105

Time and time again our man in the dayglo bib has got us pumped up and singing. He even has a couple of chants now.

We had a bloke that looked like Howard from the halifax adverts in block 11, i think they moved him though becuase he was a *word censored* and people complained about him!

A couple of people nearly smacked him in the past 2 seasons!

When I get over it's usually with my mate's season tickets in XXXXX and our steward there (beside XXXXX) is quality. XXXX guy - always telling XXXXXX to "sing up!". He was even handing out cashley notes at the chav game last season. 8)

Editted - don't want to risk getting said sound steward in the shit... :?

Unusualy for Block 107 we got quite a bit of standing done ( at the back anyway). One steward stood next to us for most of the game not really caring, just enjoying the game. That was until her jobsworth boss came up and got lairy. Silly crunt. We stood up again straight after.

Top quality atmosphere last night. Best I've heard at the Grove.

We read!

I was in with the villareal lot last night, thought their support was pretty poor, only 800 fans.

Rest of the stadium was the loudest I've heard in ages, top atmosphere last night

I'm an ETS steward. Not sure what it stands for, but means I'm in a different part of the ground every game

well 800 from a population of about 30000 is not a bad effort...
I think it is sad you called it poor...they were lovely people who are very proud of their small provincial club..

and yes us stewards do read the Gooner!
