Our support

Post by arsenals27 »

Just got back from the game. I think our support is a f*cking disgrace. Anyone but the 5 or so at the back of block 503 should be ashamed. They showed almost no support for the team, despite many songs being started.
ok fair play to the lower tier behind the goal who all stood, but the rest?? how and why do they get tickets?? whats the point?

I was in the lower tier and stood all game, but your right the support for both sides was poor, I felt the Arsenal supporters were very fragmented, its so hard to get like minded supporters all sitting together nowadays.

I was uppertier and agree fully. There was one guy complaining about everything, dont think he chanted once. I was in 515, 3 or 4 others were chanting but apart from that it was poor, we got outsung by chelsea :(

Must say the atmosphere sounded shit on telly, from both sets of fans. Whether it was down to the tv microphone set-up I'm not sure, as a pal at the game claimed at half time that it was rocking!! However, there was I thinking that rival fans watching would be taking the piss at how poor the noise levels were for such an important match.

From TV we looked better than Chelsea. But only one song was really coming off, By far the greatest team. It was loud though.

Watched it in a pub' (Shock !) and it seemed that we were singing away.

Admittedly we did not have a load of 'freebe' flags to wave. But otherwise it seemed the Arsenal Boys and girls were heard, loud and proud.

I was in the upper tier, atmosphere wasn't great but I didn't expect much to be honest.
there were chants all game, but to be honest they were very fragmented. A few people here and there.
Just like the at the Grove the only one people join in for is 'by far the greatest team' - i don;t know why, but it wasn't great really.
At the Grove the atmosphere is rarely loud outside of the NW corner, and not even there sometimes so why would it be loud today?

At times it was good and we definitely outsung the chavs on the way in and out of the ground, but there are just too many moaners - people around me were slagging off Ade and most of the other players the whole game. Whatever you think of the players, now is not the time for moaning, at the start of today we had a great chance of winning two trophies

Was in the lower tier, stood all through the game (with the sun right in our eyes!).

Couldnt hear the Chavs at all from our end (apart from the ones in the prawn circle above us  ).

Can confirm Kevinho was loud and proud throughout the match. :barscarf:

I thought the atmosphere wasn't brilliant, but it was better than the majority of games you'll see at AG!

I was in the upper tier, Block 116 Row 1, right behind that red flag with 'In Arsene We Trust'. Walking out of the ground was the best though. RVP2 what are you on about, we outsung those mugs all the way to the tube, thye were so silent, bunch of glory hunting chavs.

And when all the Arsenal fans sang in the ground , it was fucking IMMENSE, FUCKING IMMENSE.

It was terrible bar a bit of loud singing at the start of second half. I was in block 111 row 27.

A few above commented that the singing was fragmented at our end which is true, there were pockets of our fans singing, but it just didn't kick on.

Also, Cashley hardly got any abuse, what's all that about?

Plenty of 'fans' in front of me just sitting and fucking moaning throughout the game.

I thought that the support was pretty average from both sides with the exception of pockets of fans giving it a go. Is this purely a fact that it shows that the season ticket holders are the ones in a comfy position and want to be "Entertained" and not be a part of the occasion. I am a season ticket holder and gave it all yesterday although with too much swearing but apart from annoying the crap out of anyone in ear shot i could be heard. Just a shame that the other 20'000 others that felt the need to not get involved didn't do the same.
