Summer clear out

The biggest problem for Wenger is going to be keeping everyone happy and motivated.

There are far to many attackers in this team, Van Persie, Adebayor, Eduardo, Bendtner, Vela, Walcott, Arshavin and Simpson fighting for 2 places, 4 at max.

If everyone stays then some are gonna get pretty pissed off, it would not surprise me if both Adebayor and Van Persie were sold in the Summer (as we wont get much for Simpson or Bendtner who's not going anywhere) to raise some more funds which everyone at the club seems to like every Summer.

Would a front pairing of Eduardo and Arshavin be that bad if there was Walcott/Rosicky and Nasri out wide with Vela, Bendtner and Simpson waiting in the wings as cover with re inforcments brought in to more vital areas?

I would agree in general but if money is tight, we would need to unload a few big wages to afford to pay better quality players so unloading might be necessary to bring in quality players.

Could also get 45m for both Adebayor and Van Persie, they are big name players but they are not head and shoulders above anyone else at the club talent wise.

I prefer Eduardo and Arshavin as players, maybe the Summer would be a good time to cash in and bring some much needed balance to the squad.

I really don't understand why it's so top heavy with strikers.

But guaranteeing Eddie's fitness is the weak point in our otherwise stunning plan, Flash!!

Not just strikers it all attacking players. Look at all the attacking Midfielders we have.

Not just strikers it all attacking players. Look at all the attacking Midfielders we have.

Exactly which is why I don't think it would be that bad a thing if certain players were allowed to go and catch up with their heads if their heads are already thinking of being elsewhere.

3 players could effectivly bring in almost 90M in the Summer, one would be missed deerly but none are irreplacable.

i always thought this season would be pretty much a write off for Eddie but id like to think next season we will see the best of him again

IT's all well and fine calling for a clear out in the summer - But who can we afford to bring in?

The ONLY Player we should perhaps let go is Silvestre....experienced!? Yes, but So Slow and not as strong as he used to be...

Ebuoe seems a more confident and less the drama queen we've become used to seeing...time and tantrums will tell

Denilson - not the typical 'skilled' Brazilian - But can become another Gilberto - maybe by next season as he is improving all the time....and at least (unlike some we could mention) does give his all

Fabianski - I remember when he was first signed there was a 'buzz' about this athletic, brave young keeper who had 'Potential' - he still does have potential stacks of it - he had a shitfuck of a game - But that's no reason to sell him...

I think Eduardo and bendtner make a really goood 'strike partnership' up front - as do Adebayor and VP - maybe AW will pair them like that - at least it keeps bendtner away from adebayor etc

Ramsey, Vela and probably Wilshire will be even more present next season....with Cesc, Arashavin, Nasri, Diaby, Denilson and Song that's a good fluid mid-field - though I agree we could do with a Maniac in Mid-field - someone in he uise of Gattuso - Ooops silly me that was falmoney and we let him go....

It's not about selling - But, holding onto what we've got - and bringing in a new Centre-Back - but a decent CB costs loadsa Mooolah!

btw I thought we should have bought Palacios he would have jumped at the chance to play for us - still the dumb fuck went to s*** instead..so Fuck im

I doubt anyone will come in unless some players are sold, maybe one at the most, it's shit but let's be realistic.

If it was me I'd sell 3 for 90M, give Wenger 50M which is more then enough to rebuild in vital areas (ball winner, brute defender x 2 if possible) and the club get's 40M to keep them happy, there is not that much wrong with the team if we're honest.

It looks bad on paper to be selling Fabregas, Van Persie and Adebayor but the club would cope and if it's a case of doing what you have to do to generate money then I would consider it (if it was me)

flappy 6mil
silvestre 500k
denilson loan or 7mil
diaby 8mil
bendtner 8mil
traore 4mil
senderos 5mil
adebayor 20mil

that all adds up to 58mil

buy:
goalkeeper 10mil
centre back 14mil
2 defensive mid's adding up to 25mil
big striker 20mil

adds up to 69mil

so we really only spend 11mil.

I don't think anyone will be offering 20m for greedywhore. Maybe last summer, but not this summer...
