why is everone on here so fucking negative all the time? we scored 4 fantastic goals at anfield, yes our defensive performance was crap, but then so was liverpools and they have shipped 8 in 2games. and they are supossed to be miles ahead of us in terms of quality. for once we were positive in a big game, and this can give us so much attacking confidence for the utd games. we are not as shit as some on here would make you belive, so stop focusing on the negatives and look at the massive positives, and AA is one of the most amazing positives to happen to this club in long time

Give some credit you dick.
We gave away a lead three times and not one of our back four came out of it with any credit!
Also, when did Fabianski become a makeshift goalkeeper? Was he a winger last week or something?
Yes it was spirited but the defending was also fucking shocking!
Grow up calling people a dick when they have spoke some sense!
I will only take you seriously mate when you get a grip of the English language - 'spoke some sense' - how ironic.
Says the guy who admits to using the wrong adjective to describe something and you say ironic?
Calling someone a dick is hardly Shakespeare either!
The points about our defence being shit is entirely valid. All of their goals were mistakes by our back four, simple as that.
A lot of keyboard commandos on here these days.

So he could score 4 goals tonight.Seriously though shocking decision to leave him on the bench.Chippy wrote:Please stop insulting each other, we are all gooners. Fucking great result but we were shit and incredibly lucky not to get completely thrashed. Arsahvin rules and why was he left on the bench on Saturday.
Haha!
Well that was fun, wasn't it!
4-4.
Arshavin is a little genius.... Arsene, PLEASE PLEASE explain why he was dropped against Chelsea on Saturday???
Arsene is a madman if he honestly thinks Van Persie is a better left sided player than Arshavin. A MADMAN!!

I know I should be gutted at losing a late goal, but our defence is dogshit to the point it's almost funny!!
Awesome game, though... and a point closer to a top 4 finish!

Gotta say I'm happy enough, I think everyone here would have taken a point before the game tonight.
Couple of points - yes, we defended like twats but we all know if Gallas Clichy and Manuel had been playin it would have been a different story, and I still think Gibbs has a lot of potential. The biggest culprit was Silvestre, the guy should have retired years ago. But he is basically 3rd choice now behind Djourou anyway so hopefully we won't see too much more of him.
AA - amazing. Could well be a contender for next year's PFA player of the year, defences will be shitting themselves having to face him now.
We desperately need at least Djourou and Manuel back for the semi final, if so I see no reason why we can't beat the mancs, they're worse at the back than Liverpool.

AW is great
Well said KK, one of the more rational comments I've seen this evening.
Who seriously expected us to win at Anfield with the side we had to put out ? Would have been nice to have held onto a lead but how many times have Liverpool scored in the last few minutes of a game this season ? How many times have Arsenal nicked a goal late on ? (I can think of a very recent one at Goodison when we looked as though we had as much chance of scoring as Susan Boyle).
Point gained not points lost.
Personally I thought AW had decided to throw the game, reckoning that (a) he didn't want Fergie to win another title and (b) we have a nice cushion for 4th spot. But, no, we went for it (and how many sides do that on their travels, whether there's something at stake or not ?). Well played AW and well done the team (specially the excellent AA).
